My laptop has a HDMI socket so no adapter needed if this is what you mean.
Screen resolution for Laptop Lenovo g5oos is 1366 x 768 and Tv is 1920 x 1080.
I can have Traktor running on laptop and using extend option show my desktop on 2nd screen without a problem.
still images or slide show are no problem.
I read somewhere online that you can show video on your desktop by using VLC so i downloaded it followed the instructions to the letter but it never worked 🙁
I guess If push comes to shove I could edit something together in movie maker and burn it to disc and use my dvd player to project to tv but I would like to get everything working from laptop if possible.
Sorry I was tired when i wrote this last night maybe the title should have been “Showing VIDEO on desktop” 🙂
