Vangelis Angelakis (aka DJ Angel) was born on 11th November 1973 in Vienna, Austria by Greek parents. He spent his early years between Vienna and Athens until he relocated permanently to Athens in the summer of 1981. His first musical influences where Pink Floyd, with "The Wall" being the first ever song he learned to sing by heart. Other influences where Depeche Mode, Duran Duran and most of the 80âs pop and electro music. During his high school days he was mostly djing at partys and that didnât stop until he finished school in 1993. There was a four year break from djing but he came back performing at the Town Club on Santorini in the summer seasons 1997 to 1999. The rock bar Two Brothers (Santorini) stole his heart where he performed during the summer seasons of 1999 and 2000. The years between 2001 and 2004 found him relocating to Vienna where he performed at the bar Nostos and the aussie bar Down Under. In early 2004 he returned to Athens, Greece. He now performs at various clubs and events around Greece.
