Since Traktor DJ is a 2-channel mixing software. Why not use the Traktor Kontrol Z1 as your backup hardware. It works with both Traktor Pro 2 on Mac/PC and Traktor DJ for iOS. It would keep your setup footprint relatively small. Plus, you have a choice of two controllers for both softwares. Sure it’s an additional setup. But until Native Instruments makes Traktor DJ rock solid it’s your best bet. Good luck. Traktor on iOS shows a lot of promise but let’s face it Algoriddim owns the iOS market with the solid performance of its app and the ability to DJ with Spotify’s enormous library. All they need to do is create a license that allows you to “legally” perform publicly with Spotify and add downloadable tracks and they will change the industry. It’s the next logical step.
