Nice, grats on your first ever gig. Your first point is sure something to think about, even when you’re at a friends only party. Your second point is also extremely valid, and for my own experience back when I played guitar in a band: After a couple of beers (or other good stufF) my timing gets horrible. As I DJ quite “technically” (I don’t know what else to call it) this point goes for when DJing as well. With too many units of alcohol on board my timing gets sloppy, and I also recon my self-critisism will also not be up to par. A drunk DJ thinking he’s killing it, when he’s not, is so embarrasing to watch/hear.
