    I am sorry to say that NI is wrong here and the Denon guys are right.
    The S8 does support HID mode controllers (like the Denons) however the HID mode in the Denons has not been updated to the new modes supported in Traktor. However the S8 does need the new modes to work. So as a result the Denons will not work with the S8.

    Thanks for quick reply Terry really appreciate it as I have been going round in circles for last 5 days,I went back to version 2.1.3 and like you have said the s8 does not work on that version,do you know if the pioneer xdj1000 cdj work on the s8 at moment as may get rid of denon thanks Steve

    Nope they do not work.
    The only ones I have success stories from are CDJ 2000 Nexus.
