@Phil: I have moved your reply to a post of it’s own. It was not relevant to the post where you put it. Please follow the guidelines that state you can’t “hijack” another post by replying or commenting with something not relevant to that post.

On-topic: While I doubt any deliberation on the part of Pioneer, I do think it is safe to say that both Pioneer and Native Instruments aren’t all too interested in supporting each other products anymore. Clearly Pioneer considers RekordBox a good alternative. But by the same token, Native Instruments has been moving into the “works best (only?) with our own hardware” area for a few years now.

I expect and suspect that less and less time will be put into drivers and mappings on either side of the isle as both want you to embrace their own software with their own hardware. I have stated before that I expect Traktor to drop third-party controller support altogether when the next big upgrade comes.

So, if you are set on using Traktor and continue to do so into the future with any kind of support from both hardware/software manufacturers, your best bet would be to go for NI/Traktor combo. Otherwise keep your SX which will support things like VDJ, Serato, RekordBox DJ and Mixvibes Cross.
