I have a similar issue where my comments dont update at all in traktor. I have been working on trying to fix it for the past couple of days now… just ticking me off and every article or damn video i find is always ranting on “how easy” it is to sync… yea the itunes library is a breeze but the metadata transfer is not that easy apparently.

I seem to recall you need to “tell” iTunes to upgrade the tags if you updated them from outside iTunes. Otherwise they won’t show up in iTunes. Perhaps that is why it doesn’t show up correctly in Traktor? Not quite sure about the procedure, but I think you select a track, put a space or any other non-character into a tag field you are not using and that forces iTunes to re-read the tags of all tracks.

This might not be the answer, but it’s a simple test to see if that solves your issue.

I also have a similar issue.

As the OP, I have Traktor Pro 2 and just started using Beatport Pro Desktop for tagging, but I dont use iTunes

With me after loading itunes.xml file to Traktor everything is fine, however after exiting Traktor all my Mood Tags in Beatport Pro are gone!

Checking under MP3Tag and MusicBee the mood tags are there. In Beatport Pro I tried to read the tags back to the file but to no avail.

I read somewhere that in order for Traktor not to mess up your tags you should make the folder in which your library is “Read Only”. Which works but now I cant edit tags in Beatport Pro.

Only thing I can think of is that I missed a setting in Traktor to not mess with the metadata

Other then that I dont know what to do next.
