    We are not going to explain all this stuff for you in forum. Digital DJ Tips has wonderful reviews and to prevent you from having to find them all individually you can get the latest DJ Controller Guide. All the info you could want is in there.

    Also we are not gonna tell you which is the best controller, because such a thing does not exist. And your question is wrong. You question should not be “which is the best”, but “which is the best FOR ME”.

    Look on these forums for some posts on picking a starter controller. You will find many interesting posts that will help you towards your choice.

    In short our process for picking a controller looks like this:
    1) Determine your (desired or expected) workflow
    2) Find the software that most closely matches your workflow
    3) Set a budget
    4) Select 2 (or max. 3) controllers that support your software and workflow and that are within your budget
    5) Try to get some hands-on time (in a store, through friends with controllers, etx) with your shortlisted 2/3 controllers
    6) Make your choice and start practicing!

    In general this is our list of good, solid starter controllers, all of which are suited for starters, all of which have their own pros/cons. Which one to pick? See the above process.

    * Pioneer DDJ-SB
    * Reloop BeatMix 2
    * Numark MixTrack Pro
    * Denon MC2000
    * Traktor S2 (preferably only with Traktor software)
    For all these models the latest is usually the best/most full-featured, but should you find a previous model or wanna go used, all the predecessors work well also.
