    Dig a bit through the forum.
    Most important thing is: This is a marathon, not a sprint. So you need to keep calm and take your time. Working my way up in the Industrial Scene in the 90s was a long haul and it took me years to get booked on the big festivals.
    You need to talk to people, try to get in touch with bands when you visit their gigs. Play their promos and tell them about it (which is more easy today with Facebook etc.). Get to know the promoters of the scene. Act humble and professional and not like “I am the next big thing”, because chances are you are not. Be realistic but courageous with your goals.
