    You doing something wrong? I do not know. What Computer OS, drivers, other software, firmware versions etc. are you running?
    There can be tons of things wrong.

    The main differences between SX and SX2:
    – SX2 has Serato Flip support
    – SX2 has RGB pads (SX is blue only)
    – SX2 has DVS support (SX not)

    2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
    Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
    4GB 1600MHz memory
    500GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000

    OK that clears it up. As the SR had problems with ASIO drivers on Windows.
    Since you are on a Mac that cannot be it, so there are only 2 options left:
    – The controller has a fault
    – The USB controller in the MacBook is faulty

    As I never had that issue in any MacBook, I would guess it is the controller.
