    Well
I think I’m more attracted to the Denon because the VCI-400 s got so many mappable buttons which I wouldn’t self map, and I’m not the big Cue user, so the Denon goes nicer with my needs 😀

And I think for yours 2 actlly!
I mean the VCI does not come with the node you need for your TTs… 😉

Actually I would say that Podcasts rnt always commercial. And they also do not all have that intro outro kinda thing to each track.
It depends of whom you listen the podcast to.
So Bootleg (correct me if I’m wrong) is a live remix of a song played during a Mix in a club or radio show.
An Edit is mostly done by the original producer. It is somewhat of a remix but it has a lot less impact on the song itself. Remixes for instance mostly change the song completely to something new, whereas edits leave the general idea of the song and just adds removes some synths.

Stan V Touch i haven’t ever heard of to be honest..^^

Somebody else might help out tho!

    Yeah true,
I have seen the picture of Vestaxt showing that theyd put in the standalone mixer function, but wasn’t there some sort of a box in between the 400 and the CDJs?
    And @ Bishop…
man if I had a pair of 1210s I wouldn’t wanna buy a controller without the standalone mixing function either..^^

And I think the Jockey3 sounds sort of interesting, but what sort of keeps me from really wanting it, is the fact that I’d have to switch between the Decks all the time to get to the Mixer sections of the 4 Decks….
And when you mashup on, lets say, deck A and B those tracks run simultaneously, meaning you also have to EQ them at the same time while EQing the upcoming track on C or D, or if your very advanced even both!

    So that’s a negative aspect I can’t deny…
So for me it’s between the Denon MC-6000 and the VCI-400 (if it really actually comes with standalone function without buying some extra gadgets)

Then ,if I got it, the S4 isnt your choice since u cant connect CDJs or TTs to it.

What is your old setup anyways? If you have a “traditional” setup(Mixer 2x some sort of CD-Player) and if you dont have a programm for DJing yet and only want to get your mp3s running, why not take a look at some CDJs ,either Pio or Denon I would recomend (every1 I know who owns CDJs says Denon and Pio are the best out there), that can take in a USB Flash drive. Then you can put your Mp3s on the flash and your good to go.

    Hey,
and thanms alot for the posts!
so the thing is that the radio station actly only accepts djs who use an “ordinary” setup like cdjs+mixer
but since i kniw them well and they know me ofc they said they would make an exception for meand the exception means one of the controlers listed above

and thats also why i had the ergo listed, its i. the list of the few controlers they do accept. and to be honest I dont know why they wouldnt accept the denon controler..
even though I dont like the lights.. I could get used to it and even a friend of mi.e who is a dj 2 told me that one would be my best choice.. So i gues if i can convince them about the denon it would be a good thing..

And to answer the mast question:
It shouldnt be too expensive, about 800€ is my limit which would be 1066$ right now.

Its mostly about simplicity and the layout of the controller, I feel the DX is supper cramped together with a big emphasis on effects and 4 deck control. I don’t really want that stuff, when I could have big jogs to cue up tracks more easily, and have all that unused stuff gone. I also feel like bigger jogs would lead to a better presentation (make me look more like a proper dj, backspins, with the flexibility do hip hop if i wanted). The NS7 is awesome, but I am actually more into hip house and hip pop, that straight up rap/hip hop most of the time. Scratching is a lot of fun but the NS7 is just way to big/expensive. I am considering scratch live and a mixtrack for gigs, but again, serato is my software of chose all the time. Also I want to save some money in the process.

Well… in that case the VCI300 imo is the way to go I gues… I mean from what i read about it(I am searching for a new Controler 2^^), it seems good for you. Well it does come with alota funktions to control Itch but im sure ull use them after a while 2 😉

oh and if you want simplicity why don’t you go for a 2 chanell Mixer+ a pair of cdjs or turn tables
almost no effects(mostly on cheap mixers)
its prty much just the basics and its cheap 2

    How about the Numark NS7FX

I know its frkn expensive, BUT its got motorized 7″ Jogwheels, full ITCH integration… so save some money stick around with the Xone: DX for some time(if prices are rising it might be good to w8 anyways so that you get the most out of it) sell it as soon as u can afford the NS7FX… thats what I’d do if i liked Scratching
