For larger venues I’d rather rent what I needed, but for purposes of small gigs, house parties of less than 75-100 max people I was looking into getting the EV ELX112p.

Are the Behringer B215D’s more so an entry level set up compared to the EV’s? I always thought the EV’s were entry level.

It would be nice to get the Behrs and save up get the EV’s later down the road, but what do you guys think is the best idea; get and use one EV for those smaller gigs and until you’re able to afford getting a second EV. Continue the quest and get a sub, OR simply get a pair of Behinger B215D’s for the same purpose (same price point of 1 EV) and add a sub later?

I use the B212D with a B1800D sub and it sounds great. I’ve never come close to having to max the volume and it sounds better than what the larger mobile DJ businesses in my area use. I would say it’s fair to call it an entry level setup but it serves my purposes well and I think it would do it for you also.

Thanks for the responses all. I was thinking about starting a little bi-monthly party night at work (if I can get permission to use the building) to get more exposure. Have people bring their own drinks and do a 4-6 hour set of music that happens to be produced using electronic instruments instead of top 40 stuff.

I just noticed that if you add a song to your locker the price increases by 50 cents. What a scam.

I’ve browsed around and I’m not impressed either but it is a beta service so I haven’t given up on it yet. I’ll have to listen to some more items to see how accurate the recordings are.

Every service I used charges you from the end of the trial. This is something I haven’t seen.
