    I really haven’t noticed delays on the main VU on my controller, but even if it is, what we are looking for is the peakvolume, so a few ms doesn’t really matter. I don’t have channel-VU’s on my controller, but that doesn’t set me back in any way.

    Should be possible to add a separate MIDI unit with 4 VU’s on it and map those to the decks… does anyone know about such an unit?

    I’ve had the 4Trak for 4-5 months now, lots of fun. The only drawbacks I’ve found is as Phil says, the missing VU’s. It is however possible to remap the time-progress indicators to be VU’s for the active deck on each side. The platters is a dream to work with, the build-quality is impressive, the pitches feels exactly like the ones on the SL-1210 MKII DDT, except for the missing annoying mid-tick. No reason not to go for it. Go 4Trak! 🙂
