Thanks guys . ive been looking at the xone k2 just because of the amount of control over the sample perameters in the sp6 . hopefully someone has mapped this to itch which im using at the moment ( but soon to be SDJ ) or how hard is it to map .

My other problem is im an hour out of sydney and the local music shops dont cater for the electronic element like its a dirty word or something ! so i really do rely on forums and my own research to find info ( as trivial as the question is since im trying to learn as much as possible quickly ) .

Ive been mucking around with sp6 player a bit lately and do find it a pain to use the lap top so the more control from an exterrnal controller the better . thanks again 🙂

And Mr Terry , do you know of a ok controller that has similar features of the f1 ? ie faders , extra buttons for say sync and filters ?

good question ! My basic skills are sweet beatmixing/key mixing , i started back when anologue ruled and i mixed old progressive house and if you didnt know your music it sounde like shite so you relied on your ears 🙂
i wanted traktor early on , because of what it can do . the reason i didnt is my mates all had serato based controllers and just never got round to it . i looked at the akai midi controller but i thought the f1 has more control over the sounds as more is pre loaded and not so much on the fly .
Other than that im winging it ! hahaha
