ParticipantThe Mixtrack Pro can not be incorporated (except used for assigning MIDI to the buttons) , but you can connect the mixer/turntables to your laptop via RANE hardware for Serato or an Audio Interface for Traktor. There are other options for other software too just GOOGLE it.

ParticipantWelcome Brian,
I always like to see actual DJs working at the sales sites!

ParticipantThere is no “instant doubles” type feature when using the CDJ without software.
If you are just using a mixer and a CDJ-350 you have exactly that….a mixer and one deck.
(IE: you can’t mix a file off a cd and a usb stick at the same time even though it has multiple playing formats.I hope this helps.

ParticipantWhat software / hardware are you using what is the RANGE set to on your pitch fader?
VinnyBlanc
ParticipantYou can edit Hotcues, Loops, Beatgrids etc…in the offline version of Itch (without an Itch Controller plugged in)

ParticipantNice Find bruzer. Is it an exact fit/replacement? (Meaning does it engage the locking mechanism as the OEM cord does)

ParticipantUse it as a learning expereince for next time…
“Most people have a great first event,” probably not as true as you think.
It’s like people who gamble, they only tell you about when they win. I admire your honestly because you could have just as easily told us about how amazing your first gig was and no one would have known. My only suggestion, from following your blog off and on, since conception would be this….
Have you ever played for three hours straight in your home? If not trying it live for the first time probably wasn’t the greatest idea as you soon found out maybe you music library/selection wasn’t prepared for that?
I started off similar to you trying toget my facebook likes up…setting all kind of deadlines and such for pretty much everything besides just mixing music and getting in front of people and playing. Now that I am playing every Friday at this Bar Lounge…everything else is falling into place effortlessly.

ParticipantCbrniner,
I like that “table” / hardware. Can you provide us with some more details on it? I’d like to get something similar for mobile setups.

ParticipantIt was useful prior to the last update of Itch where you were not able to trigger the SP6 sample player. Now every Itch controller can natively trigger the SP6 sampler. So, the midi fighter would be limited to triggering a few things like Record start/stop and pitch bend and such….
VinnyBlanc
ParticipantIt’s not as complicated as it seems… just google it.
I am just curious what you are looking to map to the midi fighter that you can’t already do on the NS6?
VinnyBlanc
ParticipantYou can use the Midi Fighter at the same time as the NS6 in Itch. It is much more limited to what you can “map” to it then in Scratch Live and Traktor. Basically, any command that can be triggered by a keystroke on the keyboard can be mapped to a button on the midi fighter. This is achieved by using a midi-keystroke translator.

ParticipantIf you have the $$$ Look at the Stanton Str8.150’s. If there is a future for turntables…these are going to be it.
Numark TTX are nice too.VinnyBlanc
