ParticipantCertain speakers provide an additional XLR through, as ChainSmo3r said, so you can connect (daisy chain) multiple speakers together

ParticipantNelson,
I’m gonna check this mix out when I get home. I am a big fan of Top 40 remixes (especially electro).
Are all of these tracks the original mixes except for the One Direction one listed?VinnyBlanc
ParticipantWhat version of Ableton are you using? Is it a demo?

ParticipantI was so annoyed I hopped on a half hour before the signups began and the page would not reload….
I was able to get in under the 2nd wave of 200 users, so I’m not complaining and won’t have a monthly subscription fee either.VinnyBlanc
ParticipantDjevon,
The Xone K2 has an internal soundcard with a RCA (red and white) output that can be connected to the input of any mixer. It does not have to be a Xone mixer. The X-link port on the K2 I believe is for connecting multiple X-link units up and only requiring one USB connection (which are at a premium to us MBP users) to the laptop.
I hope this helps.

ParticipantLink to Source please?
I could see SSL/Itch combining, but there wouldnt be a upgrade charge. They would then use DJ Intro as their entry level software with an upgrade path to their new PRO software.
There would still have to be SERATO certified controllers. The controllers themselves would be cheaper because there would no longer be the built in Licensing fee for the Itch software, but it would still require RANE Hardware to work.

ParticipantWelcome to the site. What is / is going to be your DJ setup?

ParticipantThere are a bunch of options for 4 deck Traktor Controllers. Be sure to check them all.
-NI S4
-Pioneer DDJ-T1
-Numark 4 Trak
-Vestax VCI-400
-Denon MC6000There might even be more, but I’m a Serato user…
I usually hear people recommend the Denon over any of the others, but at this price Point there really aren’t any BAD controllers. I would also give the Numark 4-trak a look if build quality impresses you…

ParticipantCongrats! Always exciting to upgrade the gear…

ParticipantMy foam inserts are perfect rectangles but the reason the front part contacts the NS6 and the back doesn’t is that glide shelf actually angles as it slides down. DO NOT let the foam blocks touch the jog wheels, but I have found there is minimal movement if you position the foam blocks correctly.
To be honest I rarely use this case anymore since I have gotten the Numark Controller Backpack. I love that thing.

ParticipantYour M-Audio Xponent is a Midi Controller. Many different CDJs can also be used as midi controllers as well. Aside from the software on your laptop this will also require that software’s respective hardware. For Serato you will need the external RANE sound card and for Traktor you will need the Native Instruments Audio card. You then connect the compatiable CDJs up to your laptop like you would your Xpoenent controller.
For MacBook users (who only have 2 USB ports, the external sound card should always be plugged directly into the laptop and the CDJS can be connected to a separate external powered USB hub)

ParticipantThere are two types of speakers: Active and Passive.
If they are active speakers they each have an amp built in so you can hook your controller up directly to the speakers. The cord will depend on what kind of outputs are on your midi controller and what kind of inputs on the speakers.
If you have Passive speakers you will hook your midi controller up to an external Amp and then connect your speakers to that. Again, you inputs and outputs will dictate what type of cords you need.
I hope this starts you off in the right direction…

ParticipantDo a quick GOOGLE search on it. If nothing significant pops up brand it /sign it up on all the major sites and run with it.
Of you could be Triplo (Diplo’s little brother) lol.

ParticipantI have the Odyssey FZGSNS6BL ($225) and the Numark Controller Backpack ($150) and they are both amazing products.
Let me know if you have any specific questions. I’m sure there are cheaper (but not better) alternatives to both. -
