    George,

Double check, but I thought the software it came bundled with was based on region. When I bought my Mixtrack (not PRO) off of ebay a while back they had some bundled with VDJ and some with Traktor. I just made sure to confirm with the seller before purchasing. This may be different now (with the PRO), but worth a look into.

Honestly, I’ve been hearing that Serato DJ Intro is really good for a LE version…I’d go d/l that and give it a try regardless if you end up getting the Traktor/VDJ bundled with your controller.

Get the NS6 unless you need to be able to play all the additional format types supported by MixDeck Quad…

DJ = play other peoples music
Producer = make your own music.

I play tons of mashups and if anybody asks I gladly say oh this is DJ _______ go check him out.

The headphone jack on the MBP is also a line in. You can change this in the settings. This is how I broadcast my mixes from the RCA output of the Numarks NS6 into 3.5mm on the Mac.

I use this site for streaming:

You can stream video of your mixes along with the audio.

“Also jogs are a must for me.”

    Traktor X1-Off the List
    Midifighter Classic-Off the List

    If you are literally backpacking:

    Numark IDJ live + iphone/ipad.

I don’t think you will get smaller than that “with” jogwheels.

ESS JAY from the UK! I like it.

Welcome to the site. Nothing wrong with your current setup, that is what I recommend to most people just starting out, but it can take you quite far.

Cheap CDJs – Pioneer CDJ-400s (about $800 for a used pair) and you still need a mixer.
For a little over $800 you can get most top tier controllers out right now.

If money is an issue… Get a Mixtrack Pro for $150-200 and rock out VDJ or Traktor on that.

Keep an eye out for visual feedback. Toes tapping and such is an indicator that you are getting close.
Song selection is your meal ticket…

You can’t exactly just point at a girl then point at the dance floor…if only it were that easy….

    I like the mix overall.

Only thing that was a little off for me was the second song. I think that remix is a little bit too much jumping back and forth between the two songs…

    Keep up the good work.

each of the major websites usually sell on eBay also (for a cheaper price)
Here is a list to start looking at though.

    http://www.AGIproDJ.com
    http://www.PROaudioStar.com
    http://www.UniqueSquared.com
    http://www.IDJnow.com

    PS
never pay the Price they have the equipment listed for on the site. Almost all the sites have a LIVE chat feature now where you can negotiate the prices. They have to “appear” to sell the items at a certain price point to mainitain their “Authorized Dealer Status”

    PSS
Only buy from Authorized Dealers, if you don’t there is NO warranty on the equipment you buy…

    I hope this helps…
