I use iTunes to edit all of my tags.

Numark just came out with the N4 controller (4 channel stand alone mixer) 2 mic inputs $499 and is pretty compact.
To be honest I haven’t looked too much into it, but it’s something else for you to consider.

Still having same problem at work (PC Internet explorer)
and at home (MBP Firefox)

The red alert bubles avoce inbox/Alerts do not go away just constantly read 0 (getting me excited for no reason when I visit the site =) )

Is anyone else having this issue?

Starting up
1) starting up traktor 2 I get “Could not initialize traktor probably other instance running” Trakor starts up after a few clicks but this is still annoying..
Cross fader
2) when I play a song on deck A.. the sound comes out normally, like you would expect but when I move the fader toward decks B (right) there is no sign of as fading.. the sound is just as loud when the cross fader is on deck A to when it is on deck B.
The same goes for deck B, exactly the same problem just the other way round.
So I think there must be a problem with the cross-fader..

Fx
when I play a song in deck B..I went to hit one of the fx.. I noticed that the wet/dry was lighting up fine.. along with fx 2 and 3.. but when I hit fx number 1 there is no light..

When I play a song in deck A.. when I hit the fx number 1 it lights up.. aswell as 2 and 3.. but the wet/dry button does not light up..

Cue

So when a track is playing on deck A.. I want to cue a track for deck B..All I hear in my headphones is the song on deck A ( I haven’t even hit a cue button.. all cue buttons are off) yet I still hear deck A.. I can barely hear the song I want to cue ( deck B)

all of these problems are very annoying I have been watching videos on this controller for ages.. just wishing that I could own it.. I know have it and its just a pain in the ass.. 🙁

Should I send it back to the shop or am I doing something wrong? please help

Oh before i forget.. I have already sent one back because the cue button on the bottom of the deck A was not working at all it didn’t even have the click like all of the rest of the buttons

I don’t have an S2/S4 but I would imagine the crossfader issue should be an easy fix. I ran into a similar problem recently when I first started using the NS6. There is a crossfader curve adjustment knob to make it a very sharp or very gradual fade between the decks. There should either be a physcial knob on the controller or a virtual knob within Traktor to control this.

Also for the cue in the headphones there should also be adjustment to just hear the Cue song or blend the master output and the cue. It seems you have this favoring the master output which is why the cue volume is so low.
