Welcome to the NS6 family.
Thank’s for serving.January 25, 2012 at 4:22 pm in reply to: New modular DJ controllers (and an al-in-one) from Behringer #1002698VinnyBlanc

I think this will be my next setup.
I hadn’t thought of it like that.
I was just imaging you could hook up 1-4 and assign them respectively. Very similar to hooking up a PS3 controller and then saying “hey PS3 this is controller 3”
This could be huge for a mobile setup.

ParticipantMixtrack Pro has a built in soundcard (plus your laptop’s soundcard gives you two)
Connect the output (RCAs) on the back of the mixtrack to the source you want to play the music out loud on.
Connect your headphones to the headphone jack on the front of the mixtrack pro to do headphone cueing on.No, you can not connect headphones to the speakers directly for headphone cueing.

ParticipantLet’s start with this and we will get you an answer. What controller or equipment are you using?

ParticipantAudio interface or no?
(I don’t know if you would put this up against the Mixtrack or the Mixtrack-Pro)First few things that jump out at me as potential for a mixtrack killer…
Way nicer/longer pitch faders
8 hot cues vs 3
3 year warranty
4 decks…vs 2VinnyBlanc
ParticipantEveryone at my office has their white ear-buds in. I just happen to have mine connected to DJAY by algoriddim. Try some stuff out and then perfect it in ITCH when I get home. winning.

ParticipantAren’t they offering a 3-year warranty on all their new gear?

ParticipantSeems like such a small ‘niche’ market…I’m surprised they’d take a chance on such a venture.
You have to
1) Have an Ipod
2) Want to DJ
3) Spend a bunch probably on this controller.
4) Chances are this would be someone’s first entrance to dj hardware as most people with a setup already would not go out of their way to pick this up as well.Still awesome of them none the less. I am a big Numark Supporter.

ParticipantIts always rewarding to help someone get a quick answer to something that to you forever to figure out on your own. That’s what’s awesome about these forums.

ParticipantI just want to confirm that this isn’t a XLR vs RCA which is better thread?
Is your problem that your monitors only have XLR and 1/4 jack input and your soundcard only has RCA outputs?
You may want to look into cords like this…
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/133656-REG/Comprehensive_XLRJ_PP_10ST_EXF_3_Pin_XLR_Female.htmlI have RCA outputs and balanced XLR outputs both on my NS6 (which contains my soundcard)
I opted for the XLRs (not only because they came with my KRK monitors) because they are better (whether you can hear the difference or not)VinnyBlanc
Participantyou can make your own from acapellas
http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk is free.

ParticipantYou can download/try Serato DJ Intro for free from http://www.serato.com (if it did not come with it)
Also if you could get a hold of VIRTUAL DJ LE (that will also recognize your controller)VinnyBlanc
ParticipantSerato Itch. Agree with Phil, and like the stacked waveforms.
Also, library management/integration.
