Any thoughts (either negative or positive) for me before I go back to her with thoughts for a second draft? My thoughts are to potentially…
1. Change the color to either all black or two tone red and black
2. Layer this text over black lettering to add a little more dimention
3. Possibly turn the dot in the “i” into a play button…Don’t forget this was the original logo I was going with, but I think I have ruled that out unless anyone thinks otherwise…

I would check this first!

ParticipantI’m actually having her redo the bottom right one with a true black background and red scheme for the bars. Any other suggestions on that specific logo as I am leaning toward that one.

Participantokay I had another friend of mine totally shake it up and I have some additional options.
The pink would be replaced with red text and the green volume bars would be redone in a red scheme.
Also the grey would be replaced with black giving me a black/red/white theme either wayThoughts please?

ParticipantPC or MAC?
Media Rage is probably the best thing for MAC

I would recommend getting the behringer BCD3000 for you to save a buck, use your keyboard an map it to do the other functions, get some headphones worth buying, Numark RedWave seem nice and cheap. No, when I mean learn the software I mean mix with your mouse and keyboard and see if you like the software, if not check out VirtualDJ which is good for beginners. Exactly, pair up with your pals, TRUST ME, its the best, that is what I do.
Phil got hands on with these and set the pitch faders were super nice.

All I can suggest for the rest of you is to back up your database and site files…and make sure you keep things updated in terms of WordPress and plugin updates.
I get the vibe these hackers look for WP sites and exploit security holes they found.
Thanks for the heads-up. I was wondering what is the best route/source to go to host a basic website. For the time being it will mainly be single page with my large logo with clickable icons (similar to my sig here) to redirect to my soundcloud/youtube etc. This will just serve as a place holder until I have my actual site built.

ParticipantCan’t go wrong with a mixtrack/mixtrack pro. Since a lot of people look to this as an intro into djing you can sell it for not too much of a loss and put it toward you next upgrade.

In the top right corner of the site you can set up your “signature” which will attach itself to the bottom of each of your posts. Glad you liked it.

ParticipantThere is no real ipad software/controller combo that is professional grade yet.
The closest thing would be the DJAY by algoriddim app with the Numark IDJ LIVE controller, but you will be very limited. Your money could be better spent on a better controller and to maybe upgrade RAM or something in your current laptop.

ParticipantI started by watching you-tube mixes. It helps a lot when you hear the music see the person’s software running and them using their setup all at the same time.

ParticipantI’d take a look at the new Behringer controller ($199). Very similiar to your mixtrack pro but with nice long (higher resolution) pitch faders.
Also, 4 decks and 8 cue points.
I would not recommend the DJ ergo as a unit to learn beat matching on (for that price)

ParticipantDepending on what you would like to do…..it could be a great choice or there may be a different controller out there that better fits your needs.
Tell us a little more about yourself and what you want to do and we can probably get you some better guidance.
