ParticipantLove it. Currently using my NS6 and 1200s.
I haven’t picked up my 2 channel mixer yet so I have my 1200s on either side of the NS6.
Right now I’m usually only using 2 channels in Itch and have the the 1200s hooked up to two additional channels.
I can run Itch / SSL on my macbook simultaneously with no problem.VinnyBlanc
ParticipantMaster Output (Red and White RCA) of the Mixtrack pro directly to any of the 4 RCA Inputs (red and white) on the back of the DJM-900.
A plain male-male rca cord is what you need (various lengths).
I hope this helps.

Participant+1 I would also Like to know this.
If I have a separate booth out I can just record that and main out into the mixer correct?

ParticipantPrice Range? If you are in the <$250 I'd stick with the mixtrack.
You can download Serato DJ Intro for free to use twith the Mixtrack Pro. This will get your feet wet with serato.VinnyBlanc
ParticipantNever really considered it but doesn’t iTunes DJ have a feature where anyone with an I device can add a track to the playlist. If you had Itunes running (but not playing you can keep track of incoming song requests and play them on whatever software you are using. Also, they would only be selecting songs from your library?
Like I said I never really looked into this feature, but I’m pretty sure it exists.

ParticipantDon’t use the app. Just view the regular Desktop version through Safari. That is what I do on my iPhone with no issues.

Just to clarify vinny, are you saying to start over from the beginning when I mess up, instead of just trying to nudge it back into place? A follow up question, how do you guys practice?
Exactly the opposite. If you make a mistake try an correct it in real time and just go with it.
Biggest thing about practicing (no matter what you do) RECORD IT and listen back to it later.

ParticipantNice scratch mixer right there. I’m looking at one of these or a Rane TTM56.
As for the audio interface I only have expereince with the Rane SL1 I picked up cheap ($200) , but I knew I wanted to use SSL.

It’s too easy when you can just spin the jog wheel back…gather yourself and try again. Instead of dropping the song in at the wrong time and having to nudge it back/forward.Also, I haven’t touched my PS3 in the last 6 months since I started DJing. I’m contemplating selling it.

ParticipantNo hidden Gems here, but I use Beatport (desktop app) and iTunes.

ParticipantThis looks promising Josh. I’ll have to dig to see what I have to contribute.

ParticipantIf you are using turntables and serato just get a pair of dicers. game over.

ParticipantLyrics over Lyrics “usually” isn’t good as you seem to already know.
I often times jump around from one cue point to another in a song…whether it be to cut out a breakdown or for whatever reason. What software are you using?
