ParticipantIt could be USB “drop out” where you momentarily lose connection between the controller and the PC.
I took this from the Serato forums with respect to MAC, but should give you a little more insight in to things to check the PC equivalents of.

Am I getting USB dropouts? If you’re getting audio glitches, clicks or dropouts, then there is a high chance you may be experiencing a USB dropout.
A USB dropout may be shown by the USB dropout indicator lighting in Scratch Live or ITCH, however this may not always happen.
What is a USB dropout?
Scratch Live and ITCH create what’s known as an isochronous stream of audio data over the USB bus. That is, it is ‘fed’ at precise intervals from our USB buffer. If for some reason what is in the buffer can not be fed onto the bus, the USB dropout indicator will light, and more often than not, you will hear an audible click or glitch in the audio. This is a USB dropout
Troubleshooting a USB dropout:
There are only a few things that can cause dropouts on a Mac. Here is a quick checklist to run through that helps cure most Mac USB dropouts:
1. Make sure your Airport is off.
2. Make sure your Bluetooth is off.
3. Make sure your Screen Saver is set to ‘never’ come on.
Go to System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver4. Uncheck ‘put hard disk to sleep when possible’.
Go to System Preferences > Energy Saver5. Set your computer and display sleep settings to never.
Go to System Preferences > Energy SaverVinnyBlanc
ParticipantIn terms of cartridge/stylus do you plan on scratching at all? If so the shure m44-7 is the best bet.
If you were going to buy new I would look in to the Numark TTX or the Stanton Str8 150.
Buying used I would go with Technic 1200sWhat ever you do make sure that the Turntables are direct drive and not belt driven.
Also, if buying used make sure you get a checklist /guide with what to look for since you aren’t familiar with turntables.VinnyBlanc
Participant^ I was going to make this exact suggestion. Looks like the ladies beat me to it.
What host are you using for the site? What has your expeirence been like? I am looking to make a basic site/splashpage that will link to my social media / music hubs.VinnyBlanc
ParticipantMy appologies. You are correct. I forgot the Mixtrack Pro has the mic input.
I was using the regular mixtrack for a brief time with an external sound card.VinnyBlanc
Participant^ He won’t be able to use the MIC that way.
btw… the RedWaves are decent for the price but HUGE.

ParticipantThoughts on a pair of Mackie Th-15As as a starter setup to start playing out on? I’m looking for minimal investment that I can get the job done with and then use the money I make to reinvest.
This would be for backyard parties/house parties/ small halls…. thoughts?

ParticipantThere are two effects that can be assigned either one to each channel or both but on the same channel at the same time.
I do wish there was a dedicated hardware filter knob on each channel though…

ParticipantI agree. I think I made more progress last week in my first 3 hour gig than I have the 6 months prior recording and posting mixes to soundcloud from my house.

ParticipantThe OP is asking for a comparison of the 6000 and the NS6 though…

ParticipantSize of the jogs is noticeably different. I’ve never had one of the Denons hands-on but there is no issue with the NS6 platters and the resolution is great.
Only qwerk is that you have to “calibrate” the NS6 every time you power it up. And by calibrate I mean touch both platters a couple times.

ParticipantA + B automatically rules out any Serato software as only Serato Intro supports the Mixtrack Pro and that does not support video.

ParticipantThe resolution on the platters is amazing and they are a good size.
I would say your only other option would be to look at motorized platters NumarkV7 / the new Dennon coming out.
If you are looking for portability you can pick up one Numark V7 and control 2 decks in itch and use the mixer of your choice. -
