Participanti look every day,365 days a year.important thing is to keep on top of the stuff you get.if you do then keeping track is easy.a little tip that works for me is searching the artists who do the remixes.they are sometimes up and coming producers.

Participantsorry im gonna be very critical, but these words are not intended to offend but make you a better dj,the first point is this.if i said to you make me a smoothie for you to drink, and i said put in these ingredients-onion,orange,soy sauce, green chillies, strawberry and finally mustard.now blend it and drink it.would you?
probably not you would say.now my point is your track selection is a pot pourri of styles.it has no structure,it goes vocal then a melodic then vocal the a bit prog etc.you have to build a mix.maybe a 3-4 min intro.i prefer a bassey track.then slowly build your mix up to say 17 mins.add some vocals but not too early.if you doing trance i generally start my mix at about 128-130 bpms and build to about 138-140 bpms at the end.you can mix,but i suggest work on maybe longer outro/intros between tracks.i suggest you try and use mixcrate for starting as it is more friendly to use.also i suggest you provide a track list of artist/title with track length.hope that helps and keep it up.
if you want to check my mix as a guide 49 mins the link is.

Participantdo elvis impersonations in front of the mirror…no seriously.stand in front of a mirror like i did.i used a hairbrush as a mic.a lot depends on wot crowd you are playing to.you didnt specify.a dance crowd you can wing it by shouting out”in the house tonite” ala public domain.but a more demanding crowd like a wedding is not my domain as im not a mobile dj.my only suggestion is to insert little quips.i suggest you listen to judge jules.he is the king of witty dj crap.he is trance btw

Participantmy point.its the love of the music that drives us guys.if you dont love football you dont go and buy a football strip.plus you wud have problems getting into the psychy of the crowd-knowing wot they want.with trance i know when to crank it up and bring it back down

Participantwhat works for me is 3 things.making sure my master output levels dont crack the red zone and are consistent thro the mix.a program called platinum notes comes in handy.same applies with how you manage your eq’s and low/mid/high settings.just be aware of these.and thirdly,a pair of £10 laptop speakers will perform like £10 laptop speakers.when djing at home is use my harmon kardons and when i gig i have a pair of yamaha pa speakers which deliver some oomph.if im in a club ill take time to do some sound checks before i gig.i do insist on using my own gear but the pa is another issue,so you have to customise that to your needs.

Participanti have a program called mixmeister fusion that i use.i basically put in the comments what genre and give a rating to the track.program provides bpms and keycodes as a guide.this is part of many things i do in prep for a gig
