    And this is to everyone… There are no “Daft” or Foolish” Questions” if you dont know the answer, it only becomes clear or obvious once properly explained to you.
    That’s where the likes of this forum come in to play, if we don’t know, we ask.. there is bound to be someone out there knows something about what is causing you a problem!

    Thank You for Explaining that you have a System; and what that System is; for when and if your Laptop Crashes;
    But for DJ’s who ‘Use this System’ as ‘Their Act’; isn’t this a little ‘Untrustworthy’ as a ‘Performance’; now you have Explained to me How the System Works’ such as Track 1 on CD1; followed by Track 2 on CD2 ?
    As a Back-Up; I ‘Heartily Accept’ this as a Course Of Action to ‘Appease the Crowd and the Promoter/Club Owner’; but as the ‘Norm’ if it were to be this way (and I am talking about DJ’s I watch Live including Pete Tong and Carl Cox); does this is not seem a little like having 2 ‘K-Tel’ Complilation Albums on 2 Technics and just Fading One Track Out; and Bringing the Next Track In ?
    This Sounds ‘Awful’ if this is ‘Normal Practice’ 🙁

    Emma, not quite a pair of compilation CD’s i’d say… i’d imagine (or like to think at least) quite a lot of thought and skill has gone in to choosing what tunes have been selected for the cd’s, the same as any DJ choosing choons for a set.
    newer CD DJ’s can read Mp3 off the CD too, allowing quite a fair amount of tunes to be stored on the discs..
    If it was me personally, there would be extra tunes on there, above and beyond a pre worked out set, for emergencies, and of course you can just cut up and mess around with the order of play?

    But in Emma’s case I think she just knows everything about everything :p

    Roger that – especially on Ableton.. I think without Emma’s help i would have completely binned the entire thing off at the start!
    I definitely think that Phil and Emma should get together and work on an Ableton post for the Blog

    It all depends on your tastes really, but after listening mixes i have of yours i think these will be more your flavour?
    I quite like this one…

    And this one was inspired by a night when a combination of Wayne Hemmingway and a handful of the Smooth FM DJ’s blew me away on a Soul night..

    There are two tracks i absolutely love by the same artist, i can listen to over and over again, as tunes in their own right.
    But for some bizarre reason i find them really hard to mix in and out of… Doesnt stop me using ’em in sets tho 😉

    And a recent-ish mix where i dropped Quad, and finished off with one of my all time favourite tunes, another I could put on loop and listen too forever.
    This version is the Nude Mix, not my favourite mix, but this was given to me by a very very good mate, and i love it none the less…
    Actually thinking back, I think this mix was a bit of self indulgence!
