I cant scratch for toffee, mate, never have and never will !
… I leave that to me mates who are total masters of the black art 😀

Tonight on the drive home I was actually thinking along the same lines as you suggest Jem, turn off the lot and use Traktor as decks.. with oldskool i just mix tracks any how, now effects, no loops so its no biggie
I just have to change my mindset when i do a set of this genre… But the other point that springs to mind is if i’m gonna turn off Traktors features, what is the point in using Traktor lol

Back in the anologue days i once stripped down a mixer with a dodgy channel, only to find once id stripped it and moved it the sound came back… I looked for dry soulder joints on the master outs but could see nothing but every time i touched that are the sound came back…
Swapped the RCA leads and yup, the fault swapped sides.
The lesson i learned was check the leads when any fault shows up

There has to at least be ravers in your neck of the woods. Every small town and city has them.

Set up a Facebook group for the locality?

That would be funny! Everyone at a bar with their headphones on listening to their choice of tunes…

That’s a nifty idea too… Perhaps a variant for that after I’m done with this thing.

Reminds me of a Festi tent where there were noise limits in place and everyone dancing had to wear wireless headphones

Its one of them that just wont leave your head… Ever.
When the warehouse and beach party scene took off around the north west of england, a new radio station was born on the back of it, it provided the soundtrack to many of the convoys to hidden locations. (When it subsequently went bankrupt and went pirate it just got even better! 😎 )
    Sunset 102
Before it went live though it played a tape loop to test the broadcast area.
On that test loop was Mr Monday and this beast by DOP – I hadnt even heard them played out on a night or in a club!

Our mate is resident for Retro & I have been pestering Barrie for backstage passes but he’s being a tight git ! :p
His set is after these two and he’s been giggling like a naughty schoolboy saying it has to be the best warm up acts in the world!

If anybody is interested there are 180 or so tickets on the door and few left on the counter at 3 beat records in Liverpool

Good luck with your night Jack… And dont forget to take a camera dude!

I find that first synching up the pitch fader on the deck not playing, killing the line fader on that deck, playing it and selecting master and carefully tweaking the pitch on that deck to alter the playing decks pitch kinda works…
If you understand the above gibberish yer a good ‘un but it made sense, in my head

Dunno about traktor but VDJ does access the net with your VDJ account to access the Genius DJ function and search online for tracks that aint on your local drives. You turn this off by not signing in to your account on startup
Or…Turn off your Wifi card or unplug the RJ45 network cable if your hardwired?

The next DJ (a girl wearing a thong) toward the end of her set started to pass quite a lot of gas and eventually her colon just before she was able to play her last track. Due to the thong there was a smelly hotdog cut in two on the floor of the booth.

That really aint a good mental image to be carrying round :lol
