ParticipantGreat Mix seamless transitions very safe mix, She will marry you now 🙂

ParticipantThink you need to practice more on your beat matching your first mix between songs has double beats galore also look at your levels (Bass, Treble and Mids) when you have two songs mixing you are losing a lot of clarity in the songs, playing about with the levels should clear the murkiness of the mix.
Remember keep practising and listen to your mixes through headphones.

ParticipantThere is a post somewhere in this forum going on about what you speak of, guess you should go hunting and find it.

ParticipantCorrect me if i am wrong but it looks like the “focusrite scarlett 2i2” dose not have any RCA connector inputs?
Standard Technics has RCA Connectors for its outputs. So you need another external sound card (USB)
If you go for something that does not have pre-amp then you will need an amplifier to boost the signal from the turntable to the sound card.
Don’t think a mixer is essential but its handy to check the levels of volume of both left and right channels.
Please don’t sue me if i am wrong 🙂

ParticipantWhat OS do you have?
If it’s Vista get 7
If 7 Get processes down to 30-50 going for the lower end will result in turning stuff off that you use regularly.
XP down to 20 of lessTommy Hear Me
ParticipantI would try and get that down to 40 – 50 processes running. Sounds like you have something/s that’s hogging the CPU you could take a hammer to the problem and do a new install of Windows 🙂
OR
WARNING what i am about to tell you has risks don’t blame me if it goes wrong…:)
going to “msconfig” and turning off programs in the startup tab and services that don’t need to run
remember to hide all Microsoft services. Most have descriptions so you will know what to keep.Tutorial http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/index.html read and understand what it says and hopefully it wont be tooooooooo painless. GL & HF

ParticipantJust mix it up when you feel it needs something different every three songs or so but if one genre is working better than others stick with the one that is working let the crowd decide. 🙂

ParticipantThat’s why you can’t map it.
