DrBlue: I’ve actually got some of Get Darker’s 2011 Dubstep Mix….unfortunately I only bought the more mainstream-ey tracks.
Truth be told, as much as I love all EDM, I’m very fond of the Americanized/Canada-ized mainstream dubstep (Skrillex, Rusko, Liquid Stranger, Excision, etc). While I don’t enjoy the older, darker, more traditional dubstep as much, I still understand and respect the roots of music that’s become so popular over the last few years.
That being said, since I’m not as much of a fan of the older darker stuff, that’s part of the reason why I’m kind of struggling with this.
Alvin: I would’ve opted to start with some older progressive house before moving into some higher energy electro, but for this event, I’ve been asked to stick to dubstep.
Steelo: Yes, some suggestions for some tunes would be great. I’ve been told to stick to dubstep for this show.
