KeymasterMy honest opinion: You do not need this yet if you ask this way.
You can easily use the 4 channels with the controller only, as it has a 4 channel mixer and switching the decks is very easy.
When you are able to fully 4 channel mix songs with just the controller, then think about adding something. Currently by what you write alone I honestly do not think you are ready to add something to the RX. Most controller DJs even then do not bother to add decks and can 4-channel mix perfectly. When you can do this ask again:

KeymasterYes you are all set and your setup description sounds solid.
Here are some things:
The reloop stylus are made by Ortofon which IMHO is the best stylus company for DJs. They sound good, not audiophile, but good (which is all you need for DVS) and they are very reliable and hold up quite long even with prolonged use.
I would get a spare kit of 2.Also: Get 2 spare slipmats (I think 2 come in the package of the turntables) and 2 spare control vinyl. As a beginner you will probaly kill a control viny quickly at first 🙂 and the cheaper Serato control vinyls are only like 10 bucks.
Then I can only say: Have Fun!

KeymasterI have never played with one, but as far as I have seen it does not have a thru function.

KeymasterThey might work for a bit, but he definately will kill the speakers. Also monitors are very directional, so there will be OK sound directly in front of the speaker, but it will sound terrible in the rest of the room.
So summary:
– bad sound quality for non studio rooms or not sitting directly in front of them
– will prolly kill the speakersTerry_42
KeymasterYou plug it into the laptop and map the midi functions as you like them.

KeymasterThe 2 you are looking at look good, but I would honestly if you rap also look at the new Roland controller as it has a build in sequencer for beat maps, that are often used in hip hop, also the Denon MC7000 you should take a look at.

KeymasterGood choice, let us know how you like it.

KeymasterThose are usually DJs at the low end of the scale that only get spots because they play free or are friends with someone… this is not where it is going. In fact the ways to express yourself creatively have increased hundred fold when controllers came along compared to old CDJ stuff. It takes some time for those things to catch on, but the DJ booth will be very different in 10 years (except for backwater clubs…). Look at the new Denon pro gear, it is basically a modular controller with build in mini-laptops.
However I have to say one thing: There are some songs (after 20 years) that are my top favorites of all time, that I also do not need headphones on, but you would recognize that transitions would be flawless nonetheless hehe

KeymasterThe problem is probably the AMD processor. Most DJ software do not like AMD especially running 64-bit Windows.
That is why we only recommend Intel based systems here.Terry_42
KeymasterAround this mark: Numark NV, Terminal Mix 8, DDJ-SX.
Terry_42
KeymasterYeah it looks kinda flimsy, which is unlike Numark. As I said I only worked with the II version without displays, that was rock solid.
However my guess, updates are at least one year out.Terry_42
KeymasterCheck this out, I think this might help:
