KeymasterDave8 is a good choice, worked with them even a few smaller gigs. Work extremely well for their size.

KeymasterTHe soundcard on the Akai is exactly the same quality as the focusrite and yes you can map Traktor to the AMX. However mapping Traktor is a lot of work…

KeymasterThey are generic OEM headphones that many can makers use with Marshall styling on them. So they are OKish, but not outstanding. There are much better cans from companies that develop their own cans. For example even my reloop RHP-20 sound way better and they are not even close to the offers from Sennheiser or Beyerdynamics.

KeymasterI have been to the local demo and have to say I am impressed. Pretty much what Vintage said. Those things are amazing. Now I am not going to replace my MCX8000, since it still is more portable and still is extremely nice. However if these end up in clubs as standard gear, it will be the first time in years I leave my controller at home and will not charge extra for playing on their gear.

KeymasterNo idea where you got this info, but currently official statement from soundlcoud is that it is not meant for DJ mixes and copyright infringements will be dealt with usually automatically and such files deleted from their servers.

KeymasterAnything with an i5 or better and at least 8GB RAM (16GB recommended if you use loads of tracks).

KeymasterWell there are multiple answers to this 🙂
First is you only want to give your music, so basically the finished song.
This can easily be done by services like SoundCloud. If you want to give only to specific people you can make the song “download by invite only” on Soundcloud, so only DJs that you allow will be able to download the song. Now if you want to have your song remixed by a producing DJ this becomes more complicated.
First you need to find the right person and I would focus on starting with a single DJ and not multiple DJs.
Best is if you find someone who is active for example on our forum and possibly uses the same DAW software you use to master your song (e.g. FL Studio). This makes things less complicated as you can easily send the whole FL Studio project to the remixing DJ and he can work directly from the source material.
To transfer the files it is best to exchange Email Addresses and use a transfer service such as dropbox, onedrive etc.Now to the rights:
If you donate the music (e.g. just put it on Soundcloud for free) you retain ZERO rights. That was a bust for many people especially for some that ended up as music for viral youtube videos and got ZERO pennies from it. Hence this is why I would not do this.
If you give the music to selected people only and disclaim it as “whitelabel” sample of your work, you retain all rights of the original work, but the DJ has the right to play the song or self made remixes at no license costs. You can still take a hefty hit if he is a radio DJ and has lots of listeners you fall from getting royalties, but it is doubtful such a DJ would play a total newcomer and it might still be worth the publicity.
As for when you enter into a remix with a DJ that is more complicated. If the DJ makes an “official remix” you are both entitled to royalties as it is now your combined work. How much is yours and how much is the DJs is usually held in a contract between composer and remixer. It can vary from 90:10 to 50:50% it is unlikely the DJ gets more than 50% unless the composer is a total nobody and the DJ is David Guetta. If you have more questions feel free.

So please refrain from posting such things again Fixmymixer and by the way your username is hence also against our guidelines.I hope you understand and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

KeymasterOld DJM 400 – there is your problem right there
The DJM400 had most of its connections not really well isolated and the print of the boards were also pretty open and close to other circuits. Hence it is prone to get crackling during usage especially from faders and knobs.
Some of it can sometimes be mitigated by WD40 spray and patient disassembly and cleaning, but the time comes where faders and knob connectors are just too corroded to be any good. To replace those however is most of the time more expensive than the used mixer itself, hence why they are going so cheap.Terry_42
KeymasterI would really check out the MCX8000 by Denon. I know you seem fixed on Pioneer, however this for me is the perfect mix of all possibilities of Serato unlocked, plus standalone capabilities. (and Paul Oakenfold agrees hehe)

KeymasterCiao Marco!
E ‘bello vederti qui. Goditi la permanenza. And yes I am sorry for my bad Italian, I am not getting to Italy that much anymore. The time of grand Discotheques in Italy that hired my are sadly gone by…

KeymasterYou should be able to do it. However most likely your setup is not set up correctly.
There is a setup guide for the RP-8000 in the long manual you can download from the reloop website. I would suggest you get that and follow the steps on how to setup to the letter. It is very important that the amplification, tone arm pressure etc. is all setup correctly for DVS to work flawlessly.Other things that could go wrong:
Your needle is already deteriorated and needs replacing.
Your tone arm got a hit and there is something wrong.
Too much or too low tone arm pressure
Audio settings in the software not setup correctlyDVS is a fine tuned machine and has a lot of upkeep costs associated with it. Hence why I do not use it anymore, I have my setup for “fun play” at home, but on stage I use my controller exclusively now, since I can do the same scratch moves anyways.
