Keymaster1) Repair, it is not a sub and will never do the job of a sub.
2) No. It is unneeded voodoo and will most likely make the whole rig sound worse.

KeymasterIs it possible: Yes.
Is it good: No.
Traktor is closing its system, so that mainly native instruments controllers work. So there will be significant downfalls when using Traktor on anything else and you really need a deep knowledge of the software to make it work.So my recommendation would be:
If you are fixed on Traktor, get a Traktor controller from Native Instruments.
If you stay with the Pioneer go for Serato instead, it will work much much better.Terry_42
KeymasterHonestly: It depends. I love long pitch faders as I tend to do a lot of tempo adjust on the fly, nudging etc.
On the other hand, trim/gain is also nice, since I do not trust auto-gain all the time.So in the end it comes to personal preference, at your stage I would say: go with your gut feeling, it will prolly be OK for you. Both controllers are really good choices.

KeymasterThis was actually quite fun 🙂 Good mix for the oldies hehe

KeymasterThat is a good question, I have been using 9 for quite some time now with all the packs and addons installed.
All I can say is that I directly drag the song into ableton (most of the time in live/session view) and it works like a charm.Terry_42
KeymasterI use some samples of mad zach from techtools, however most samples I use are professional samples from loopmasters.
All my samples that need voice produced for me exclusively I get from musicradiocreative.com
They follow my directions best and usually the first try will get the result I want. The more specific you are in how the words should be spoken or sung by the vocal artist, the better the result. Also their F/X and music for the voices are good and flashy without being over the top.Terry_42
KeymasterI tried to reproduce that error, but I could not.
Sorry, for me the comments work all the time.Terry_42
KeymasterI only tested the Reloop on your list and they were good and comfy for me.
I doubt the Behringer are better and I have zero experience with Mixars.Terry_42
KeymasterHonestly I can drag iTunes files still into Ableton and they work. What is the problem? (I have up to date Ableton Suite and iTUnes)

KeymasterI have to agree with Vintage completely.
Now most of the time I do not use sync, because I “grew up” not having the possibility but even when I try I make more trainwrecks using sync, then without… so I just do not use it.
On the other hand I have been “accused” to use sync sometimes when I am not, because “it sounded to good”. Well 20+ years of practice can do that to ya…
However I do not look down on anybody using sync, as I do not see it as cheating. If it works it is a great tool, but I would say that prolly 70% of my tracks or less are actually syncable. Many times I actually do not want sync because I do other transitions or transition from one BPM to another etc.
So honestly:
If you get the job done, your mix is good, your music selections are good and if you are able to tell a story with your performance I cannot care less how you do it. If you have to have a yellow duck in your booth and spank it every 3mins to make that transition so be it…Terry_42
KeymasterYou are on the right track IMHO. The beat, the background and the whole theme of the song are good and a little retro (which is also good) and even remind me of Kraftwerk in some parts. However the whole melody line (while I get the 0101 theme) is a little too bland for me and gets a little boring as it drags out too long and needs also maybe some breaks in it.
So as a basic setup I would call it success, but not as a finished track. But you can certainly work from there. Good job.Terry_42
KeymasterGlad to help and trust me it is not only basics.
You can easy do double shuffle, transformer, slip and skip… all those tricks easy on jogwheels.
It is not really that different, once you get used to it.Terry_42
KeymasterWelcome.

KeymasterI was only able to test it for an hour, with a fresh intsall MB Pro with touchbar, but it ran fine with my MCX8000. Latest release version of Serato and latest firmware of the MCX.
However I could have been just lucky, my personal MacBook is 3 years old and my backup 6 years 😛Terry_42
KeymasterHonestly buddy, I would ask Serato support or call them, they are pretty helpful (and prolly give you a discount voucher).
