KeymasterI think the wiring broke when the signal is unclear. Usually the transmitter will only kick in if the signal is above a certain limit and free of static or backfire. Hence prolly the transmitter wont transmit as there is a short in the signal chain that either prevents the limiter to kick in or is too much feedback and the cut circuit cuts in and stops transmitting.
Usually with cheap Mics this is due to bad soldering or even breaks in the dynamic cap of the mic itself. This is why such mics usually screw you very fast and if you buy too cheap you buy twice.Terry_42
KeymasterActually that can even be changed in the options, but the default is:
Darker colors = low frequency
Brighter colors = higher frequency
So the darker the waveform gets, the more dominant are low frequencies, the brighter the waveform gets the higher gets the frequencies. Also check out this video, which I find very good explainer:

KeymasterHowever the DJM 800 is hugely outdated and we from the staff cannot recommend that purchase. But to each their own.
Terry_42
KeymasterIt largely depends on how you get into the industry and how things develop.
For example my real name is not intuitive to pronounce for English native speakers and I actually came to my alias by accident, I did not chose it another DJ called my “Terry” by mistake and soon the whole club regulars, bar staff etc. would refer to me as “Terry”, since Terry.com was taken I just added the 42 for promo reasons and kept the Terry… (short version of that story). So things can happen rather quickly…I know others who chose their alias simply because they liked it or friends recommended them and others who go with their real name and become very successful… so I guess there is no right or wrong here.

KeymasterThe latest versions of Serato do need a new Firmware on most controllers, did you upgrade your firmware yet?
Terry_42
KeymasterI think that Rekordbox and Serato use virtually the same algorithm with the flex grid.
Honestly you only need to manual beatgrid if the detection totally screws you, which gets more rare these days in Serato at least.
Even if you manual beatgrid in Traktor you will never get it right for tempo change songs as the grid is fixed, it would be a pain in the behind to fix that via transition points. It would prolly take you 30min per track.Even if the auto-grid fails in Serato, I go to the first beat of first line, hit “start” button and rest of the grid will align automatically.

KeymasterHonestly both great monitor speakers and you cannot go wrong either way.
The Yamaha might have the slight edge when it comes to flat response (what you want for production) and the Pioneer a slight edge in bass (what is good for beginner DJs). Else they are virtually the same in sound and the differences I mentioned are minimal.Terry_42
KeymasterI often do not pitch tracks that are within a range of +/- 1 to 1.5 bpm. I can easily nudge them to speed, transition in and out before they run out of sync again.
Terry_42
KeymasterIf you are using software like Serato DJ it has a so called “flexible beatgrid” so no matter that it differs and or changes throughout the track Serato will be on top of it.
Mixvibes Cross has a similar feature, however Traktor totally lacks this.
So mixing older tunes with live drums are easier to mix in Serato or Cross.I would not use correction software for this as they tend to put in artifacts.

KeymasterI am really sorry but I do not understand what advise you would like.
Obviously you have a lot of gear, which is questionably OKish, but I do not see what you want to achieve yet with that gear.
Can you maybe ask a friend to translate for you?Terry_42
KeymasterI call scam.
If they say they loved your track and want to put it out there, they would offer to master it for you and tell you that for the first 10-100 radio plays they get a cut for mastering. Now those cuts can be significantly more than 50 bucks, but nobody asks for money upfront when they think your product in genuinely good. -
