DO NOT BUY A MACBOOK–unless you actually like them. What is the “standard” for club is unimportant. What IS important is what works for you. Frankly, if you have a lot of plugins for Windows that you like, there’s no good reason to switch. Bootcamp on a Mac works, but really, if you want to run Windows, you should stick with a PC and use the extra money you save to trick it out.
BTW, I’m a Mac user–but I started on Windows. Well, even before Windows existed actually–but I’m old. 😉
