I have looked into this More;
And in August & September 2011 the Full Version Of Traktor Pro 2 Is Available; but After that it goes back to the LE;
So; if you are Ready for the X1; then this is the Month to Buy It;
On this Native Instruments Page Below; are some Fantastic Videos from World Class DJ’s who are Using the X1 😎http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-kontrol-x1/?content=1131&page=1205
Thanks Emma, I shall take a look at those videos you suggested 🙂

I have been looking at the X1 lately; and it looks like a Magical Tool;
However; if you were going to buy it and save on the Full Retail Price by selling Traktor Pro to your Friend; I think you should Definitely read this following Review; as it has been Confirmed by Many that you Only get Traktor LE 🙁I have been waiting to make the transition from CDJ’s to Computer based Djiing for some time and Native Instruments have got it perfect. While you only get Trakor LE instead of the full version, you cannot get better value or equipment for the price. 3 effects, cues, looping and the most simple option of synchronizing songs for perfect beat matching means you can be a DJ with just a laptop and this Dj controller. Had it for nearly a month now and have not had a single issue with it While I will in time be purchasing the S4, I highly recommend this to anyone who is a beginner or trying to get into Djiing before splashing cash on a product that is far more complex and expensive. A great product, simple to use and most importantly, alot of fun!
Really 🙁 I’ve seen on many websites that if you purchase, a full pro 2 upgrade is offered? I may have to look into it more.
It seems as though you highly rate the controller. Do you think it would be a good addition to a mixtrack pro?
steve_07
MemberI would love an S4 but I can’t warrant the expense right now.
Thanks for your opinion anyway 🙂

MemberBasically I want to sell the free traktor to a mate bringing the price down of the X1.
You say it’s better to have a controller. I have a mixtrack pro, am I better of just using the controller and keyboard than adding an X1?

MemberI shall wait for a while, save some money and see what happens. Best option for me right now

MemberThe dell mini 10v everything including wifi which usually doesn’t work should do on that machine. You can pick them up already hackintoshed on eBay.
steve_07
MemberThe dell mini 10v has the same chip set as a mac. I’ve done a bit of research and many say it’s just as quick and can cope with multiple programs.
steve_07
MemberIve always fancied a mac. Easy, clean software, look good. Just very overpriced.

I think my laptop looks fairly similar to a mac screen and keyboard-wise but was cheaper and nicer 🙂
I couldn’t agree more. I may just get a hackintosh. Miles cheaper

My WD External Drive is 300GB and is Way Big Enough for what I want; and that is USB Powered; so I may have sent you to the wrong page; and if I did I apologise; but it is the WD ‘Passport’ Model you need that is USB PoweredIt may have been my fault. The page just loads all the WD hard drives. I just assumed you meant the first one on the list at the price in your post.
I now know what to look for 🙂

You asked in your First Post about Cost (Nothing Too Expensive);
Western Digital has a 1 Terabyte External Drive at Currys for £45 on the Internet;Very true but im after one that doesn’t need external power ie USB powered
steve_07
MemberI just like the look of them really. I would have no extra use for OSX over windows 7 but they are way over priced!
steve_07
MemberI shall have a look for a decent Western Digital then. Time for a laptop change soon. MacBook pro is too tempting

Membermr stifffy, post: 6162 wrote: this should be the other way around in my opinion (not fighting this is just how I do it) 🙂 I have a 500 gb external hd made by western digital, I have my whole music collection, vst collection, sample collection and backup installation files along with serials that I keep locked in my safe, on my laptop I have maybe 250 songs that gets changed and replaced constantly, this way I KNOW my songs inside out and for the random nights that I dont enjoy playing but may do the odd time I add a new file and copy whatever songs on my harddrive over (pop stuff, rock music etc…)
That is the exact reason I want one so I can be 100% I know the songs I have on my laptop. WD seems to popular with you lot
