MemberFor example if I bought two of these
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Behringer-EUROLIVE-B208D-Active-PA-Speaker-System-106384886-i1449710.gc
and I also own a subwoofer that has xlr connections
so Could I use an RCA to XLR cable with dual XLR outputs with one of my output areas of my mixer ie (it takes red and white end in my NMP then it goes to two speakers)
and then use the other RCA output with another RCA to XLR connection to my SUB?? I am so confused

MemberMy advice is do not go right to traktor, get VDJ and try it out, it will literally be plug and play with your mixtrack pro so no set up required. Although I really like traktor I do not care what any one says it is a bitch to set up and to learn, it is like a mix between production software and a DJ software and I am very basic (which is why I will buy the new serato software the day it comes out with whatever controller I have to buy to get it) so It has a big learning curve, if you need any direct help with VDJ I have done it all so PM me or ask me on this page and I will literally draw it all out for you, I really enjoy VDJ

MemberLove the party story man I am a DJ at college right now to which is cool, plus we got basically the same setup.
If you absolutely love the Serato Intro and that is all you are used to then your route would be to look online for recording software that allows you to still use the mixtracks sound card, otherwise it would be advised to use a program like VDJ or Traktor to record yours songs.
I love VDJ for a lot of things but recording is the best, uses the right sound card and records directly into WAV so it sounds crisp, plus your NMP alll ready has a solid TSI for VDJ so your plug and play baby

I’m American, so I like to spin a lot of electro-house 🙂
I like to bring down the levels pretty low, and slowly put in the part of the song where you here the heels clicking, banging on the door, cell phone ringing ect ect (about a minute in or so). I always get the “what the hell is this?” looks from the crowd, but its just slowly building them up. It gets louder and louder and louder until finally the women says “You Blocked Me on Facebook, and Now Your Going to Die!” and it drops. People go absolutely nuts.Holy shit I heard this on one of Kaskades huge live mixes and loved it haha thank you so much for the song ID man that was a track I was looking for

I did a couple of other ones too, like Zedd’s Don’t Slam The Door vs Daft Punk’s Technologic, which then runs into DeadmauFIVE and Wolfgang Gartner’s Animal Rights vs Azaeaeaealia Banks 212. Those two tracks one after the other work pretty well.
Not sure if it’d be any use to you Spot-Trix, but I have a little demo mix on soundcloud that has a couple of interesting mashup type tracks. If not for the mix, the list of tracks/mashups might be of use, although sounds like you’re not short of ideas yourself! :p
Just downloaded every single one of your mixes, I am in class but I will be sure to listen to them and see if I can learn a thing or two man and btw love the name haha Twiicx..makes me crave delicious beats

I usually do the solo over the outro, and then at the bell at the end, reverse it so it fades, then builds into another big drop. That aerodynamic riff gets a lot of people going.
I love shit like that, I spend hours on my numark just looking for songs that mix so well and blend together like that, the problem is that I have created so many pre made set lists, i guess I could mix them and record it and then play what the people want when I play live? Idk ha i just loving making mixtapes

Memberjerk ha so pissed I never started with the twitch man, you exited for the new serato to launch? how do you like the software so far

MemberI bought the mixtrack pro when I started with a pair of nice headphones. Honestly the mistake I made was focusing to much on the controller rather than physical performance equipment like speakes, lights, stands, and travel gear. When I purchased mixtrack pro and used VDJ LE I learned the basics of all DJ software as well so by purchasing the controller you get a well built controller that has all you need plus a beginner software that helps you really learn what you need to know.

MemberThank you guys, Traktor is a great software but I am still leaning toward Serato and VDJ cause the simplicity

MemberTraktor was very attractive for a while and still is but the problem is I am using my mixtrack pro and love it but Traktor TSI’s for my controller are god awfull I still have not found one that works well at all, thanks cres cat for that link I have always looked at that chart and was curious how it worked.

MemberI just like the VDJ script for midi inputs it is so easy to use and once you figure it out it is like speaking another language ha
I agree with you for some reason going wav to mp3 is how i prefer to do it but does it actually diminish the sound quality versus recording straight mp3??
