Another soulful deep house mix with some Chicago sounds from Todd Terry and disco infusion from Everything But The Girl. And I’ve put in one of my all time favorite funk soul brothers – Jamiroquai. Njoy

ParticipantLast week I found this post on DJ Tech Tools about an IKEA DJ Boot (http://www.djtechtools.com/2011/10/16/how-to-create-a-professional-dj-booth-from-ikea-parts/). Bought the parts and started to put it together to discover I need additional 3 inch bolts from Home Depot. Well it’s together and I like it…

ParticipantI don’t worry about harmonic mixing during break-downs in the song or if you hear just percussions. The key doesn’t really matter when you hear just drums.

ParticipantMy buddy and I use a 2 channel mixer and two S4s. And the mixer goes out to our monitors. Works for us.

ParticipantI think Phil teaches the same technique of putting 2 to 3 songs together in his courses. I find it useful. I like how you gone the next step further in programming a set this way too. Very cool. It keeps it interesting and creative for sure.

ParticipantI have friends with varied musical tastes and lifestyles. So going to clubs is not top of their minds. I do prefer to go alone. I get to check different clubs and DJs as I wish without worrying if my friends are bored. Plus you get to meet new people and learn what they like about the music being played. And share a few shots of course 😉
