    I haven’t really seen any places from around that I could rent from…

    As for the QSC GX5 I also found good reviews around that and I found a guy on craigslist selling a couple for around 250$ a piece which looks like a great deal. I’m hoping in the end that I find an amp that can power two decent speakers (i play a lot of house and dubstep) and two speakers. I also found a guy selling 2 JBL jrx 115s for 350$ so I think that would be a good starting point, any thoughts on those two choices?

    So it seems like the common consensus is that I need an amp with twice the wattage of the speakers. The next question is: is that the overall wattage of the amp, the single channel wattage, or the bridged wattage? Say for example I buy two JBL jrx 115 speakers http://www.jblpro.com/catalog/general/Product.aspx?PId=87&MId=3 what kind of overall/channel wattage would I need in an amplifier?

    I’ve been researching various speaker systems and it seems like all the used ones around that are affordable are passive. This leads into my next concern is how do I pick an amp for what I need?
