So what they do accept are these:
Pio DDJ-T1 (but i rly RLY hate the software limitations.. can you use it with Traktor Pro2 as well? because I have heard that there are issues doing so..)FYI… I use the T1 with Traktor Pro2…. Never had a single issue.

MemberFixing them is rather cheap too on the off chance something is a bit broked, so many parts available still and so many people willing to service them for a decent price.

Mmmm you’re probably right, still I won’t buy Behringer products anymore as a result. Too many horror stories over the years.

MemberDO NOT BY A BCD2000.
I had one once. I literally gave it away… and I still felt like I’d ripped the guy off.

Great article on being an opening DJ.

MemberPioneer HDJ500s are great for the price. Not the most durable set, but it’s not hard to take a little more care with them

MemberNothing wrong with starting with CDJs, in fact if you can afford it it’s a good way to learn, as much as people like to fight it CDJ/Turntables & a Mixer are going to be the standard in clubs for a little while yet.
One thing tho dude is I’d do a little more research into EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Find out what you like, get some tunes, read forums, basically just make sure this is for you before you put up the cash. Are you even aware of the basics of mixing yet?

MemberI’d take CDJ2000s over a controller any day. I just can’t afford them at home.

MemberIt’s easy to play early. Avoid big tunes, avoid breakdowns, big vocals, play 2-5bpm slower then you usually would, let people ease themselves in.
Play some nice music to get feet tapping. Playing early in the night is an art. Like warming up for a bigger DJ.

MemberOne of the other things I love about PC is I know how to fix shit when it breaks. Short of catastrophic hardware failure, I know how to fix Windows if it decideds to screw its self (Hasn’t happened yet anytime)
I question how long it would take to gain that knowledge of OSX, well for me someone who has spent 20 years or so as a Windows user. I know that OS like the back of my hand.
Thats just me though. I figure its safe to stick with what you know, especially when the differences are much more minimal then people like to make out.

MemberThat is more then ample.. I don’t get the mac obsession sometimes…
A good PC is as good as a good mac. No difference. Just price point.

MemberThats commercial-ish EDM for you.
Always been like that, eventually it’ll die out and the next “big sound” will come through.
