Ok, so the reason I’m asking is because as part of  project in design school, I’m designing a light/ flashlight for DJ’s.
Either for the booth – mixer/decks,
or for searching cd’s and records crates,
or even for just shining a light behind the decks to fix a cable or wire.
I’m doing research and it would be helpful to know what features are important to you fellow DJ’s when it comes to accessories. for some of you it maybe entirely irrelevant and for some a must have.
Any input would be very much appreciated!

Very skillful set. The mixing is very natural and seems unforced/effortless. (to me) The selection is also very smooth. I just was looking for those one or two great track that stand out in sets usually. Or something like that.

Nice mix. I wish we had music like that in clubs by me. Makes me wanna do garage myself. It’s infectious. Really smooth mixing and great tracks. Gold digger is bombastic!  Oh and sorry all due respect bro but there is kind of  an abrupt dip  @ 39. (between bondax and the other tribe). Lookin forward to the next mix if there is one.

Hey! Thanx for listening. Yeah, like I said before,  I knew the beatmixing wasn’t perfect. (The levels actually seem okay to me.)
The reason I wasn’t beatmixing with headphones is becuause I was using my headphones as speakers so when I beatmixed you heard it in the recording of the actual mix.
The second mix I was using my high fi speakers so I was able to use my headphones for the b.ming.
Why do you suggest I practice more before uploading, isn’t the the feedback something that I need? Also it’s easier to focus more when a practice session is going to be uploaded.
What do you think of the overall flow as a set? The track selection and so on.

I listened to your latest mix, progressive electro house isn’t exactly my style, I’m just more of a groove person. I mean like why listen to a remix of right here right know when the original is available? Sooo much better.  Anyways your set is real real smooth. How do you get it so the mixs are so tight? I can’t hear the mix half the time. And that fist track the night train. thats some awesome dj selection right there!

All aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard all aboard……….. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE NIGHT TRAIN !!! (bassline bassline bassline)
    lol

I personally like to mix in the beats do know why, so I don’t like cutting the base of either track a or b, but then you I can always hear it in the mix. Is it better to maybe cut the base?
Thanks again for listening. I know minimal tech house aint everyones things but its got grooves so I hope it wasnt too bad.

most sets are of a similar genre and the tracks have more or less the same speed. eg i was mixing minimal tech house – thats around 123- 127. were talking about a difference of about maximum 4%.
my rule of thumb is, if its more than minus 4% on A and plus 4% on B than use should get a different track. that means in extreme cases you have around 8 % which is more or less ten bpm (120- 130 bpm).

Hey! I always record on Traktor my mixes just so I can hear how they sound. (Most I delete>)
At the top right of the program where fx 2 is, you can toggle the “record mix” or toggle back to the fx2.
The mix is recorded onto a designated place in your computer in wave form so you should convert it into mp3 format. You can change in the settings where on your computer the mix is recorded. I always turn up the volume a little of the recording but not too much otherwise there will be distortion in the entire set.
(used to be that you could record all the motions of the buttons that you pressed as well, for instance you could watch the traktor buttons move on there own as the mix played out, but i’m not sure if that capability still exists)

Hey nice! its very basic. I liked the smidgen of bongos right at the end of the into- maybe you should have kept it and let it build up into the bassline.
