I spent about $35 on wood, about $10 on hardware, and around $40 for all the interior padding for a rough total estimate of $85. It took me a while to build, but that’s just because I was doing it as a side project for fun.

For the images, I used imgur and it doesn’t seem to work. Is it possible to upload them straight from my computer to this website? On most forums you can but I can’t seem to figure it out

I looked into all of that before I started, and was about to do it, but I decided it was just too much money for everything. The way I did it was very cheap and it still offers lots of protection. The only problem is, like you said, it will be harder to keep it in good, presentable shape.

Adding on to my last post, the first mixtrack pro was actually my first controller, and I guess it wasn’t too bad to start off with.

The closest to that budget I can think of is the mixtrack pro 2. anything less than that is probably not worth getting

Is there a limit of 7 images?

This shows how the lid fits on. It’s like this on all four sides so the lid can’t slide around.

To make the wood grain lettering, I printed the Novation logo on adhesive paper, cut it out with a razor blade, stuck it onto where I wanted the logos and lettering to go, and painted over it.

Finally, once everything was painted, I covered foam with leather patterned vinyl, and glued it to the inside of the box along with some cork for the top and bottom. The Twitch fits in perfectly and the padding gives it plenty of protection on all 6 sides.

And that’s it! Not really sure if people post things like this very often on this forum, but I needed some place to show off my creation and I figured this was probably the best place to do it.
