At the time, for me, it was a straight choice between the Technics or the HD25’s, both of which are superb IMHO.
These were my first “real” DJ headphones. Very decent for the price. I found I outgrew them when I had to play in some of the louder (read: badly designed) venues.

Yep this is one of my go to websites. Best site for trance music by a long shot too.

ParticipantI have also only used TouchOSC but it is stable, works excellently and you can really customize it nicely to your workflow. Its been quite well established for some time now so development-wise its a strong piece of kit.

ParticipantDon’t tell any lies. You’ll only get caught out and look a bit silly.

ParticipantTheme’s can work a treat for sure. Sometimes even just a colour for the theme is enough to spice things up a bit.

ParticipantIf all else fails, plug in to the house mixer (assuming there is one…) with RCA’s

ParticipantI’ve tride a few different brands and designs and my Sennheiser HD 25-1 ii’s are my go-to ‘phones. Not the cheapest (although definitely not the most expensive and you can find great deals on the web and ebay) but they have taken so much abuse and still work and sound 100% after about 2.5 years.

ParticipantI must agree with you about the full wet flanger. Awful. Just awful.

ParticipantThere’s more than one way to mix tunes so there isn’t really a right or wrong way unless it sounds bad

ParticipantIt depends on the liquor licence. If the venue is 21+ then technically I don’t think you can legally work there but clubs aren’t exactly known for always doing everything by the book…
