Or maybe the Technics designs that are out there or maybe even what DJ Mag are doing or maybe designs that so are subtle you wouldn’t know they were DJ/Music related. I don’t want a specific shirt that is great, but more of an idea of the type of designs you feel are missing. What to you is an innovative design, especially as you feel the usual turntables and headphone stuff is already well covered at this point.

The DMC & Technics stuff is more along the lines of what I would prefer. If I wanted something a little flashier then maybe some (but definitely not all) of the items more similar to:

Whilst theres still a few tacky looking designs, there’s some decent ones in there + official merch from lots of record labels, DJs etc.

You may have to google that or wait for someone else to chime in…I don’t play commercial and that’s basically what all the pools are.

For commercial music you might be best going for DJ pools. You pay a monthly fee (usually cheap) to have access to as many legal downloads as you want.

For parties the PA speakers. DO NOT use studio monitor for parties. They might be ok for mixing in your bedroom at home but all you will do is damage them for anything larger as thats not what they were designed for. You’d be surprised how much people soak up the sound.

You asked for opinions so I’ll be straight up and I won’t hold back…
The website looks nice but to be brutally honest, I would say the weakest part of the site is your products. There are a handful of nice designs but the majority of them I wouldn’t want to be seen in. I’m not sure if you are marketing to DJs or wannabe “clubbers” cause I feel the latter is who would be buying and wearing these. I can get similar designs from Walmart…for less. A CDJ with paint splashes or vine leaves is a bit too cheesy or “teen”.
You definitely need a good selection of officially branded products. Have a bigger and better selection than other websites and you would do well.
OK enough about what I don’t like. I do like that you offer American Apparel. The problem with a lot of similar clothing concepts is the fit of the shirt. I want a nice fitted shirt not a baggy, chunky sleeved thing.
I stumbled on your website when I was on the hunt for some nice DJ related clothing (think fitted Technics logo only t-shirt – what would sell far better in my opinion). Theres a whole bunch of similar websites selling similar designs so nothing about this one jumped our nor made me want to purchase.
    I hope I wasn’t too harsh…

You best be getting in contact with with the bar and finding out what they do have (if anything). If they don’t have any equipment whatsoever, including speakers, then you have plenty of options. They may have speakers installed in which case you just need to plug in. I often find in these type of setups its an XLR connection.

I was just being cheeky as I knew we’d get a bit of debate going. I’ll leave it up to you guys as to what the definition of mixing is…
I’ve been mixing about 7 or 8 years and I think I’ve spun almost anything you can think of, at some point.

Unfortunately Android is really far behind compared to iOS. I played around with a few apps and they were all atrocious and very buggy. Gave up in the end.

You’ll be fine lad. Work on finding those bangers and just have fun with it! Lets be honest here too…dubstep is one of the easier genres to mix, so go nuts!

I must admit after watching this I have a little more respect for Guetta…not his trash music but his attitude. He seems like a decent guy who really loves his music.
