I find mixcloud helpful…. especially since most mixes there have track lists, DJ charts can be ok but careful since a lot like to promote themselves or their label there… online radio… always a source and the stations often have a website that posts the tracklists…
It really ends up at committing time to finding music and listening to some stuff outside your comfort zone. I never was a big breaks fan but thoroughly enjoy them now that I have more of a feel for them. Doesn’t mean I will ever be convinced to like dubstep, but it is about listening to stuff you may normally not and then seeing what of that you like and can incorporate in with your style 🙂

I use TuneUp for Itunes… k cost a few bucks but its worth it in my opinion since it does more than just find album art.

From old fart to old fart – refurbished works… the other tip – if you have a future shop or best buy near you (future shop in Canada) – go there end of the month.. specially around quarter of the year… they will have a bunch of “open box” laptops .. just means someone returned it and they wiped it and restored it… end of the month / quarter they need to get rid of these or their floor managers don’t get the bonus they like…. so you can bargain A LOT.

I DJ’d with VDJ and Traktor only for a long time and it is possible… honestly I think it taught me a lot about DJ’ing but I wouldn’t wanna miss my S4 now that I have it lol
