ParticipantEnjoyed the mix, my only criticism is no tracklist and I like a couple in there and would buy them.

Participantif you get hit with import tax and vat (which you probably will) customs love a big box its not going to be that much cheaper.

ParticipantI have the 6’s and I believe them ample and they go loud when you want them too for something so small. A friend has 8’s and he does feel they are a bit overkill Like vintage has said you should set them up near to you when mixing etc.
As for neighbours, if your speakers are near you they will sound loud to you without being too loud for everyone else. I ve never had a complaint from any, I work on the principle if its late your going to piss people off so dont do it. Don’t lay down 8 hour sets… 40mins at a time and people would be more accepting of it.
When you do have a blow out Ie cranking it right up do it when people are at work. easyRory Jones
ParticipantI had a very similar problem to you Just a thought is it serato you use? If it is have you got key lock on? I had terrible audio with the standard keylock the popping you describe. turned it off and it was fine.
I read up the serato the standard keylock is plop. Bought the pitch in time add on and Im sorted now audio is all good

ParticipantI was in the same boat. The 1210’s are in the loft and the man cave is rapidly is becoming a nursery :D.
I bought the ddj sx and have been very pleased with the decision. Great controller and i can do a bit more on it than the 1210’s as i was not a big scratcher still learning it all it can do.
good luck with it anyway! Its not the end, a new chapter!Rory Jones
ParticipantMy mate has a set of the 8s, even he says they are overkill and he loves it banging lol

ParticipantAre you in the uk mate if you are, I ve just taken the plunge on some krk’s rp6’s. But to keep the cost down I found these in a sale. These are the g2’s and the same price as the rp5’s g3’s. Basically I’m on the version behind but saved £80 on the RP6 g3’s. I have not heard the new ones but very happy with what i got for the money.

Participantanother vote for the hd25’s had mine for years. Every part is replaceable so if they break you just replace that bit. I have not had to do this however.
I have the single piece plastic headband version. IMO the more joints etc on the headband the more chance they will break.
Mine are still going strong albeit with a bit of tape to hold the ear foams on lol, such a cheapskate but the worn in look is far cooler!

ParticipantIm starting to think sr and some nice krk’s rp6’s for the same price as a sx could make more sense, then I ll have a nice little setup. My amp set up at the moment is going to be taking up space which im trying to deal with.
never needed 4 channels before and i’m not really going to have other stuff to plug into it for the mixer function.
tomorrow Ill probably change my mind again……

ParticipantBig fan of cars like my trackdays etc. I cycle to work to justify it. Its potentially ruinous if it goes wrong and pricey to run but at 8k rpm an m3 with the traction off is brilliant.
