MemberI think the most important thing has to be links to downloads of your mixes so people can check out your style.
I link to MixCloud / SoundCloud and Twitter.
Plus a bit of background information on who you are – nothing too over the top though.

MemberThere are a few big name female DJs in the UK such as Annie Mac, Lisa Lashes, Lottie, Lisa Loud, DJ Heaven. I would love it if there were more, most of us blokes are too boring!
Ignore their small mindedness Emma. If you’re on the radio maybe have a few digs back at them?

If people have a problem with me, it really is their problem. Dont try and reason with them.. arguing with an idiot is a fruitless exercise, they will always drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.Hear hear ( here here? )
Anyway, yes. Like he said

MemberWith Twitter keep it on topic. As a DJ only write about music and DJing. Leave your thoughts on politics, football and women out of it. Most people that follow you won’t actually know you for real. People will follow you because they are interested in what you are interested in. I have three twitter accounts for just this reason!
I find Facebook is more useful for people you actually know. So you can let them know what you’re up to in a friendly way, but don’t keep spamming them.

MemberI can only echo what other people have said. Beatmatching is a skill you should have as a DJ, but it doesn’t mean you have to do it.
There is more to DJing that beatmatching.
