MemberAwesome…. Just figuring out the best audio config for mixify at the moment. Got some problems with routing due to me having to use a ‘quirky’ setup until I get some real monitors. (Laptop+vci380 into a desktop pc and out through the speakers). I’ll drop a comment here again as soon as Im good to go.
Big 40 for me next year so a proper gig would be great for next year 🙂
Quick edit… just gave you a follow on soundcloud, Sheffield ? I’m from Leeds but live in Scotland now.

MemberYou guys still running with this ? I’d love to join in if you are.

MemberHmm. What Terry said. However if you could squeeze an extra 100 quid you could invest in a VCI380.

MemberOooooK…. been a while since I posted this thread but I just thought I’d let people know what I ended up getting.
In the end I decided to wait and go for the VCI380 and can honestly say it rocks !
I’ve had it for a good while now and still havent discovered all of its functions 🙂 Gonna keep me happy for a long time.Rob Arran

MemberPretty much sold on Itch now 🙂
Especially after watching a couple of the ‘bridge’ vids too. Not sure if it integrates with Itch (appeared to be used with scratch live) but it would certainly add another dimension as Ive already dabbled with Ableton.Rob Arran

If you are intrested in going the Traktor route I would spend the extra money up front and get the “Numark 4Trak” (the Traktor version of the NS6 which is identical but also includes a seperate bolt on FX unit to better utilize the Trakotr FX)I would search on YouTube for some videos of Itch in action since you aren’t able to go hands on without a piece of ITCH hardware.
Best of luck, and let us know what you end up with.
Now this is why I’m glad I posted…. Thanks for the heads up. (just listened to your electro mix for March btw. V Nice but Adele gets everywhere ;p) Off to check out some vids of Itch.
Better just add that the wife shouted she likes the Adele remix….. better go look for something with Adele in to add to the collection 🙂

MemberWell after a bit more research (read:- drooling over pictures and techy info) I’ve narrowed it down to :-
NS6 – Now the number one contender
Priced at £699 with Itch or £799 with TP2MC6000
Priced at £679 but will need to add £99 for TP2 upgradeVCI400
Priced at £699 with Serato Intro so would need to add (imho) £155 to upgrade to TP2Im also going to keep an eye on the VCI380 for now, and may even wait to see a review.
The NS6 with Itch seems like the best route to go as I could also buy TP2 at a later date (really wish I could see Itch in full working mode rather than offline mode !). If anyone has seen any of the units priced lower please let me know (unless they be on Fleabay). All priced up @ djkit.com for comparison.
@ Proto Looks like another + for the NS6 then as that appears to have full length controls which is more of what im used to 🙂

MemberThanks guys, some nice info coming out and its much appreciated 🙂
@Vinny Ill take another closer look at the NS6 if indeed it can control the sample decks!
@ RB75 I had more or less narrowed my selection down to the denon unit until I saw the VCI380 and yes I agree that the only downside to the denon seemed to be its cramped size. There is nothing more I would like than to visit a store to view them all, however, I live on a small(ish) island just off the coast of NW Scotland (UK) so getting to a store isnt easy !
@ Synthet1c Some interesting options there specially the vci400 info. I have only briefly looked at VDJ and was initially put off by its interface compared with traktor and serato, think ill go download the home version for a proper look.
@ Prototype1 Thanks buddy, thats been thouroughly digested already ! 🙂
Thanks for the snippets so far guys.

I have looked at this one… however scouring the DDT 2012 Review I found this :-
Big, heavy, can’t control the software’s sample decks -
