thanks for the welcomes, all. yes, there are no mistakes, only opportunities for improvement. i’ve been playing drums for 32 years, teaching for ten. turns out digital djing works great as a rhythm training tool with my students. they learn about counting beats, measures, phrases, sections, and keeping time. plus they come up with some cool tricks and ideas at random that turn me on to new ideas as well. win-win!
