thats a niiiiiiiice setup, i am lil bit jealous of your technics 😉 also they still look fresh to dizzle 😉
How do you guys transport your DDJ-SX?
I need a bag or case next month to travel, i saw this case on facebook,

but i am not sure if its to heavy or big for transportation on a plane, a bag might be better but not when it comes to safety. Anybody here, who have experience with traveling by plane? I will go overseas, a 10 hour flight…
    thank you!! 🙂

Hey @Eros how you doing? Whats going on with your DJ Setup, you bought any new stuff? On which stuff you jamming at the moment?
I saw that they reduced the price of the zomo from 299 to 189€, just a lil tip, in case you still want to get the zomo…
I still rolling with my setup, nothing changed, except my software, got me the remix decks of traktor, great tool!
Maybe i will get that F1 controller to christmas, in case i can t do a good mapping on my vestax for the remix decks. Still on it :-/ a lil bit hard…

    Pioneer DJM-900
    AKai APC-40
    Zomo MC-1000
    Korg Nano Pad
    Mac Book
    Vestax PDX-2000
    Traktor Scratch Pro
Korg M3 (on very left side)

yeaa its hard to leave the house hahaha, especially when you have some new music to spin!
Yes for some reason the DJM effects sounds better as the Traktor Effekts. I use the DJM-900 effects the most, because they are “post fader” when i am djing, plus they sounds warmer. But Traktor has some nice effects too, like the iceverb for example, they can be sick in combination with the DJM effects!!! My opinion about the traktor effects is: they sounds really digital, which is not be a bad advantage! The best is when you can choose between djm and traktor effects ;-D
Eros, think about the DJM-850 (the mixer has a built in interface for traktor)
I like the HD-25s too, they are really comfortable.
Zomo had some similiar ones too on the musikmesse, they looked a little bit like the AIAIAI, i wanted to buy these, but they didn t sell it 🙁 they was very comfortable and felt like made of rubber 😉 really cool and VERY flexible! i loved them.

@eros how you doing? any news overthere?
I was at the musikmesse in frankfurt and checked the zomo stand, they gave me a card with contacts…. and there was a us website on it, so i was thinking about you, because you didn t have a opportunity to get zomo overthere right? maybe you have it already, or you have other plans for your equipment. anyways here is the website: http://www.zomodjusa.com

I did a picture of my setup, i got me an apc-40 too, synced Traktor & Ableton – you can imagine whats going in the booth now 😉 craaaazyyyy shiaaaaat 😉

@eros nice to see you again! ow what a pity! why not importing the Zomo? I don t think its that expensive…
Yes the DJM-900 automatically detect the BPM of the tracks, which i play from Traktor and sync them with the beat effects 🙂 Sometimes its not that correct, but you can tap it 😉
@Rekutt i wouldn t recommend you the S2, the quality should be very bad. I am sometimes at the NI Forum, checking for Traktor Stuff, and there are a lot of people which are not happy with the S2. I mean A LOT People! Also a good friend of me, was spinning with the S2 on a show, and the S2 shut down. The funny thing was, there where people from NI with him lol. I would wait a couple of years to go with controllers from NI, they have to step up their quality game.
i would recommend you a Vestax Mixer, like the VMC-004 . The Quality is nice and solid! If you need more information about the mixer check thisLINK . I was spinning with a mixer from this series already, and it was very good. I am also a vestax fan, i ve never been disappointed from this brand in the last 15 years. I still have 2 Vestax PDX Turntables for over 10 years.
or maybe the Stanton RM414. But no experience on this one 🙁

    Hello Folks,
@Rekutt please let me know if you have questions about the Zomo MC-1000 🙂
@DJ Hessler, I have the Zomo MC-1000 and the Pioneer DJM-900. Both are the perfect Team, not only the perfect Team, the Set-Up is a dream :-).
I can use the fantastic effects from the DJM-900 PLUS all Traktor Effects which i control with the Zomo. So you can bring your creativity to the next level. Also i like the arrangement of both, i placed the Zomo in Front of the DJM-900 like on the picture from Eros, which fits very good, you can t place any other controller like that on the DJM-900. The ergonomy is just perfect, it feels like a bigger DJM Mixer. Also you can work very quick. I also like the Potis and Keys from the Zomo which are exactly like the Pioneer Gear. So if you love the Pioneer Gear you will love the Zomo too.

in reply to: Speaker recommendation please #13014

Hey Tom, i don t know speakers for about 50 pounds, but i am happy with my JBL speakers. They was cheap too, 120 for a pair. I have them for a couple of years now, and they still sound great. I use them as Monitor for mixdowns. I have big genelecs and small JBL. Just perfect 🙂

    @djsquared
You don t need to use the soundcard, you can also use the mc-1000 ONLY as controller. I mean if the mc-1000 would be expensive as hell, then i would rather look for a controller without soundcard, but its not…

@eros Yea the setup is really insane. Its hard to leave the house or even to do not music lol. Also you right, the X-Pad is just crazy too.
I set up the BPM by myself at the moment on the DJM 900. Its easy and the tap button goes smooth. But i know, i don t have to, i just didn t have the time to configure the Traktor Setup for my DJM-900. I didn t plug the DJM-900 to my MacBook yet, but i hope i will find some time this weekend to get the setting done for the djm-900 in combination with the MC-1000 that everything is on time. The beat effects from the MC-1000 are always synced. Also i will do a second mapping of the MC-1000, that i can use the MC-1000 only as controller with no sound. I don t want to play with this mapping all the time, but i think it will be interresting, i will put the effects time on the MC-1000 pitch bend for example. This will be a lot of fun 😉

    How is it going eros,
Did you get a MC-1000? I got me a DJM-900 and its a perfect team, really great! i have much fun! Especially mixing the DJM + Traktor effects at the same time! great 🙂 and the setup looking f**king sexy lol

    Hey eros,
No problem, yes i was with it twice in the club already, but from now on, i will only play with it, because i had to get used to it, thats why i only played with it twice in the club yet. Pluggin proccess is easy, only 2 audio cables and 1 USB cable, thats it (I play with 2 Decks). I talked to the club owner already, he will get one too, so i don t need to bring the controller everytime. 300 € is not much for a club owner, when you think about times, when he had to get 2 CDJs each 1000 lol. @U31 Me personly don t miss the jog wheels, the pitch paddles are very good – in both ways, as pitch fader as well as pitch bend, both works very good. I think i would miss the jog wheels, if i would be a scratch guy, but i am not ;-)Also i saw something very interesting for mobil djs:

in reply to: List of DJ controllers! What have I missed? #9805

    Hello Eros,
sorry for getting back so late. Yes i started using the zomo. A played around with it for a while, and i have correct me. You can use the Pitch paddle as Pitch fader. You only need to press the shift button once (not hold it, just once), and then it works as Pitch Fader. And it works very good, its accurately and you can also do it quickly, i really like it! It also shows on the computer screen. Let me know if you have further questions…

Yes, if you nudge the paddles, it will change the BPM. But the paddles are more for the use as a pitch bend, and not as a pitch fader, the controller is made for the use of the sync button, BUT i think you can map it at traktor, this should be no problem. I got the controller yesterday, but i didn t try this yet. But i will check it tomorow or thursday. I will keep u posted. 😉
