Amazing. So it’s not really a feedback thread than is it. Instead of listening to the feedback you dismiss it and pat yourselves on the back.

The story is about a DJ who can’t get work, instead of thinking, “well a DJ’s job is to play music people want to listen to,” he instead insults the paying customer and you defend it because of the “we’re too kool” attitude I read in half the threads here. If you read the site and don’t see it than you are extremely bias, but since a lot of the attitude comes from the mods to begin with I get it.

Meanwhile when I go over to a site like DJtechtools I don’t see any of the negative stories I see here weekly. Dude some people get it, others don’t. We’re not agreeing to disagree, you’re just not getting it. Think I’ll ask for my money back, thanks.

You choose to lead with a negative story on your front page. The poster’s “opinion” is that other people’s taste in music isn’t as good as his. There aren’t a lot of different ways to interpret that opinion. I’m not looking for negativity, it’s shown me almost every time I come here on the front page.

Now seriously, man up and ask yourself, why on Earth would you want to lead with an opinion that is insulting to so many people? That’s not a debate, it’s childish and arrogant.

Well I’m back today with a front story called “A Reader Writes: EDM Is Killing All Other Genres!” With the “we’re too kool for you,” vibe that I was talking about. The response to the story from you guys seems to be positive but you still are filling the space with negativity for what remains to me a mystery. I mean why on Earth even bother printing crap like, “I don’t think they even know what good music is.” Even if it’s just to debunk it, better to not print it to begin with.

I am talking more about the blog and the front page. Like you say the “gig from hell” was not actually a negative story but over the past month or so I’ve read a fair share of negative stories that might have been started at other sites and linked or re-posted here. Not sure how the 2 sides of this site run and thought this was the right place for feedback for the whole site.

Found it myself. By choosing direct for the knob you can choose a preset value. But I can’t figure out how to enter 0.5, seems the mouse increases by .2s and the keyboard on the mac doesn’t input.

So far with my s4 I’ve used an i-phone and a second gen i-pad as well as the macbook and they all worked fine and in fact I really liked the ios version of traktor because every 4th beat is highlighted which makes it very easy for beginners to practice counting and phrasing on. Not sure what is underwhelming.

Frank there is no reason anybody should be ashamed for using sync. The thread even starts with him saying how he thought the quality was ok till he discovered the fact that there was no manual beat matching. Bunch of silliness to be honest and quit boring.

I’m sure it could be done but you would have to make a mapping that you would than have to turn on and off which would make things much harder for you. Easy thing to do is to learn to stop pressing the wrong button.

Don’t worry about it, you won’t be able to hear your kids when you get older but who really wants to hear their kids anyway?

You’re research is correct, it’s dangerous to listen to loud music for an extended period of time….but that’s what people do when they go to clubs. Bottom line it’s not good for you. Some unlucky people have serious ear damage that makes their life miserable, most don’t have any long lasting effects.

Just get the s2 and use your smartphone or tablet for an extra controller.

Why? Since you don’t know what you want you probably don’t know what you can do so the s2 and a smart phone/tablet should keep you plenty busy for a year then you can add or trade out later. Thrift store midi controllers you can find for a few bucks here and there would work too.

Ahh the old, help yourself first thing that every mod at every site feels the need to say because why waste a second helping somebody when you can waste a second telling them you’ll only help those who help themselves.

Well you did seem to understand that I did indeed know there is a digital copy of the manual that I don’t want to use, regardless of how many languages it is in.

And yes, I even understand the concept of internet shopping there champ, but you know what? Sometimes I just like to buy stuff the old fashion way.

First guy answered my questions and I thanked him, you are just being a wad because you have free time to do so.
