MemberHi Hessler,
Thank you for your reply. I am in the midst of upgrading to T2 Pro as well. But I have been having problems with the upgrade from LE to T2. I bought the upgrade from NI and I was told to download a ZIP file for the PC.
I did all that and followed all the installment instructions but it still shows LE on my software. Do you know the reason?
Noted and thanks for your advise on reading the manual. I will get down to that. Can the pitch range be customized? ie can it be +/- 6%? The reason is that 8% or 10% is too wide for Denon’s pitch slider and I don’t need that much wiggle room.

MemberI am using an Asus Core i5 Windows laptop with what I think is called the Realtek High Definition Audio soundcard?
The sound that comes out from the speakers are ok but I am unsure about the signal that comes out from the mixer to the laptop.
Thanks

MemberHi Phil,

I am using Traktor LE but I am in the midst of upgrading to Traktor Pro 2 (I think that is what its called) once I sort out the upgrading issues.

MemberI also use the period during beat matching to trigger some 1 to 2 beat cuts on the fly as a teaser…
I hope this helps..
Caveat – I have not spun live in 7 years so what I am saying may not apply in the digital age 🙂

MemberYou should monitor the incoming sound via the LEDs while cueing up. And then through you what you hear through the transition.
I also use the period during beat matching to identify the drops and other subtle nuances… How I will then do the transition may evolve depending on the mood..

MemberI am glad you are learning without Sync but my advise is to learn to use the channel faders instead of the crossfader. It gives you more control of the incoming sound and the overall transition. Cheers!

MemberHi DJ Flyer,
Thanks for your view. I will check those out if they are available here in Singapore 🙂
Prototype1
MemberThanks Lew and Vinny.
Yeah I will have to go with the Pro version. the costs to upgrade is US$ 139 and its reasonable considering that I used to US$10 per record in the past!

MemberHi Pepe,
We have DJ stores over here but they are made up of small businesses that may specialize in different brands. Its quite a fragmented business over here and not very diversely stocked.
I used to get decent monthly gigs at clubs that could hold between 300 to 500 poeple back when I was playing between 1999 to 2004 but I stopped after that.
The scene appears to have deteriorated since then. With the advent of computer mixing, its more important to have a pretty face behind the decks than someone who can really mix. No offence to anyone with what I am saying.
And Dirty Dutch is one of the hottest genres at the moment whilst my style is progressive to trance. Where are you from Pepe?

They tested 12 DJ Headphones from the Range of 70-250$ and the Zomo won. Also i read in a couple of forums that the Zomo should be good.
Thanks Pepe. Unfortunately , they are not available in Singapore so I guess I will stick to the usual suspects 🙂
