I really have no clue on what the EDM scene is like. I remember the scene D-Jam talked about. All I know of current EDM is the photos I see in DJ mags. I do see photos of women like the author described. Yet, photos can be misleading. That could have been one or two women out of a hundred that behaved the way the photo shows. (As someone who has recently been photographing for a nightclub, I know this.) As far as the nightlife being sexist, EDM is definitely not the only scene doing this.
